1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottle. Pours amber with white fluffy head. Leaves lacing. A lot of sourness in both the aroma and the flavor. I hope this is just a bad batch because it is terrible, all six of the pack were the same (I guess that attests to the fact that it was drinkable).

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
medium body, flavor of roasted malt, candy sugar and ample hope spice. lots of hop bitterness too... definitely on the zippy side of winter ales - quite good but I usually prefer the mellow-malty style of winter ales...

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Six from Reubens. Dark ruby red, thick lasting head, lots of lacing. Smells of raisin bread and hops. Warm comforting savoriness for a cold February night.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Another solid offering. Pours a dark ruby head with creamy and moderately persistent head. Roasted malts clearly on the nose with hops coming through. Taste is a bright burst of mild chocolate and cherry. Hopping gives a lot of berry cheer in a long aftertaste.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle pours reddish brown with a medium white head. Aroma is citrusy, caramel, with a slight hint of alcohol. Taste is primarily caramel malts, cinnamon, and nutmeg with a well-balanced bitter finish. Iím not normally a fan of holiday ales but this one was enjoyable.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This is one of those good to drink holiday beers if it is what you have available. If you have had many Winter Ales this one will leave a little disappointed.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Off-white head that dissipates slowly. Lovely dark red color in the glass, sweet, delicate nose with a tinge of hops. Tends more toward the hop than malt, which is nice for a winter ale. Decent bite, but not overwhelming in any way. Nicely done.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark amber color, spicy candylike aroma. Caramel malty flavor. Nice but unspectactular winter.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours an ebony color with a one-inch tan head. Malty, somewhat floral aroma with a hint of evergreen. Taste is malty, a bit roasted, with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Good hops balance. It has a deep flavor, with lots of character, that really speaks to the tastebuds. Soft mouthfeel. I’d like to pair this brew with a hearty stew or a stroganoff dish.
