Brewed for the holiday season, Wassail is a delight with it’s warm flavors and festive holiday packaging. It’s a lush, garnet colored winter ale that has a malty full-body and a pleasant hoppy finish. Sure to warm the hearts of malt and hop lovers alike, Wassail is brewed with a 4 types of malts and is hopped with a special blend of imported hops.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2007 2007 Rating Lovely brown nice tan head again Again the light chocolate, dry fruits and some floral notes with some alcohol notes as well Lots of malt complexity, with some chocolate, toast, touch of dark fruit followed by a nice spicy hop bite... this year the hop bite is more controlled but lasts long into the finish. Again a fabulous beer... I always look forward to every winter. The treat is to see what time does to this one definitely get a couple of six packs :) 2006 - Rating shiny deep amber with a nice tan head which settles to a nice film on top Some chocolate, dried fruits and a floral hop nose with some alcohol as the beer warms Malty with just a touch of chocolatey flavors before a sizeable spicy noble hop takes over into the finish. Medium light bodied on the tongue with a long dry finish with some creaminess Overall a very good winterbrew I would have preferred a little more malt complexity... I prefer my winter beers malty. Nonetheless a very well made beer.

I found the nose weak, the taste disappointing, and the palate watery. Nose was burnt. The flavor was very bitter, of the citrus rind variety, with undertones of chocolate. It was nice to look at. Aftertaste was a bit mediciney.

This is a good winter beer, pretty strong, youll feel it after one or two. Came in a mix pack, but would definitley buy a 6er.

Pours a dark amber color. Very small head which faded quickly. Aroma is some citrus hops, coffee, and some smoke. Flavor is very well balanced with a lot of toasted malt, and a fair bit of hop bitterness. FInishes well, with lingering hops and just a hint of alchohol. Only complaint is the small head. A very solid beer all around. Highly recommend! Paired very well with beef.

Poured a beautiful dark red with a nice light brown head. Aroma is sweet, citrisy and of toasted something that I can’t discern. But I like it. Taste is full with strong notes of roasted malts, hops and nutmeg. Finish is dry, strong and bitter. Nice winter ale overall.

Not bad. I liked it after the second beer. The first beer (which counts) left a strange but welcome taste.
