JK (2946), Richfield, Minnesota, USA Aug 6, 2007 A cloudy brown appearance. Not very complex, hop aroma and hop flavor, with a lightly sweet malt base. Fairly smooth and easy to drink, I thought the abv was higher. IrishBoy (2686), Bakersfield, California, USA Aug 5, 2007 Bottle from Bottle Barn; Nose of floral and citrus hops, with a little caramel; Hazy copper orange with a medium yellow-beige head; flavor of hop bitterness woth caramel, lemon, and a hint of molasses, finishing with the hop bitterness. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA Aug 3, 2007 Thanks to Skyview for sharing. Pours a nice light murkytofffe like. amber. Nice floral and citrus to the nose with a hint of toffee. Kinda light and waxy with the hops, but a nice finish with great floral and grapefruit. Roguemike (4), Post Falls, Idaho, USA does not count Jul 11, 2007 This is my favorite holiday brew I can remember. Keep the hops commin’ and a bit bitter, like any good IPA should be. scottmc (167), Lakewood, Colorado, USA Jul 6, 2007 A great holiday beer with a massive amount of hops. This is like a winter beer mixed with a great double IPA. A dark heavy body with a full tan like head and a hop aroma that has the essence of cascade, crystal, and centennial hops. A great choice for the season. hayduke (1621), Eureka, California, USA Jun 12, 2007 From a 22 ounce bottle, this poured a hazy copper color with an nice long lasting cream head that was very attractive and left good lacing. Nose of citrus hops with grapefruit dominating and a malt undertone underneath. Mouthfeel is slightly oily. Flavors are hops and malts, with some spices showing, and the malts are well balanced with the hops Finish is long and bitter and what you would expect from a quality IPA, which this is for sure. golubj (1275), Sunnyvale, California, USA Apr 24, 2007 Bottle. Aroma of sweet malt and citrus hops. Palate is nice, but a little watery. Flavor is also a little weak up front, but has nice pine and citrus hop flavor to follow. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA Apr 18, 2007 22 oz. Brewmaster Reserve bottle from Johns Market Place in Portland, $3.79. Pours a cloudy antique maple color with a largish off white head that leaves delicate lacing. Fruity and toasty malt scents with a hint of toffee, floral and citrus hops are present in the aroma, but not dominant. The malt flavors open, then give way quickly to bold hops of a citrus inclination, with hints of lime and pine resin in the finish (perhaps the pine is a nod to the holiday theme of the beer). Medium body and gentle carbonation. I
