Pours a cloudy antique maple color with a largish off white head that leaves delicate lacing. Fruity and toasty malt scents with a hint of toffee, floral and citrus hops are present in the aroma, but not dominant. The malt flavors open, then give way quickly to bold hops of a citrus inclination, with hints of lime and pine resin in the finish (perhaps the pine is a nod to the holiday theme of the beer). Medium body and gentle carbonation. I sneagrams3 (1747), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Bright citrus hop nose. Touch of cocoa and a buttery note, but not necessarily in a bad way. Decent burn. Fruity notes with a full bodied and bitter palate. Ton o hops! Dry long bitter hop palate. Touch of a yeasty floral nose. Sweet and long piney resinous hops. Nice fruity undertones. Touch of citrus and red fruit. Well done! luvcasks (178), USA

long lasting tight Ivory head ... pouring amber and orange... very attractive.
Nose of big oily resiny slightly grapefruit (rind) and a faint malt undertone peeking thru (Seems like a good IPA)
Every sip is a hop blast with the malt just in the background to keep the hoppy oils from paralyzing the taste buds. Hop flavors lean more towards the resiny, woody end with a little sweet respite via the crystal malts
Overall: A very well made IPA, definitely not something to ignore... Personally while this is a good example seems a little light for a specialty... my quibbles the hop flavors seem focussed on resiny woody side... for an IPA I like a nice variegated hop blast from clean bitterness to fruity... but hey I would not miss buying a bottle next fall Angeloregon (2025), Portland, Oregon, USA

Big centennial hops flavor. Not a paralyzing hop bitterness, with a big malt complexity and balance. rich copper-amber-bruin hue. One of Full Sail’s best efforts to date! rudolf (1758), Buffalo, New York, USA

Flavor is caramel, slightly sour malt, brown sugar, a bit of alcohol astringency. A bit watery in the bitter twangy orange/brown sugar finish. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

Full Sail Wreck the Halls has a fragrant, sweet aroma of pineapple and orange citrus. The color is a somewhat cloudy copper-orange with a foamy and frothy slowly diminishing beige head. The remaining crown is made of many large bubbles and provides nice lacing. Grapefruit and pine hops are quite evident in the flavor. However, there is also some balancing malt and buried spiciness there as well. The finish is moderate bitter with a linger floral hop flavor. Some alcohol is evident when this beer is really cold, but it surprisingly disappears once it warms up a little. The palate is smooth and mellow and this beer has a slightly more than medium body with an average amount carbonation. This is a really nice IPA. It is full flavored, balanced, and has lots of great hop flavors, but the overall bitterness level is somewhat more modest. I haven’t had too many of the Full Sail offerings yet, but of the ones I’ve had, this one is right up there as being another really enjoyable Full Sail beer and a tasty IPA in general...

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 8, 2007 Beer pours copper with a half an inch head that does not seem to go away. Smell is of earthiness and some caramel malt. There is also a hint of alcohol in the nose. Initial flavor is some piney notes followed by some sweet caramel malt, and then some hoppy dryness. The beer is not overly carbonate. There is some alcohol warmth, and it is not too heavy, but does have some chewy hop resin. rmussman (905), California, USA

Mouthfeel is strong and very hoppy. Almost like a ESB. Flavor is strong for an ipa with excessive hops. A very nice winter brew
