JohnnyJ (1283), Carlsbad, California, USA Jan 9, 2009 On tap at stone. I didnt like it very much. Piney hops, caramel, citrus, grapefruit. But its kind of hollow and has this funky wet sock flavor. Meh... it’s alright. Travlr (700), Washington, Washington DC, USA Dec 27, 2008 Brigh orange with medium white head. Aroma of coriander, flavor of coriander, lime, and orange. Very nice. fidel (887), Livermore, California, USA Dec 13, 2008 Dark amber, hoppy, piney, caramel, malty, citrus, spice, little bready, dry finish. danielcurtis81 (879), San Diego, California, USA Oct 15, 2008 Getting my notebook online. Bottle. Pours a hazy amber. Lots of hops on the nose, a bit of caramel and pine too. Lots of floral flavors in the taste. Hints of honey and caramel. Pretty good beer heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Sep 23, 2008 Bomber. A dark orange copper body is topped with a medium khaki head. The aroma has some rich notes of caramel, amaretto and grapefruit. There is also a little bit of pine goodness. Bitter grapefruit and pine resin dominate the flavor. There is also some biscuit and walnut behind the hops. While big, the mouthfeel is relatively light and it is very drinkable. Theis (3617), Denmark Sep 9, 2008 Bottle at Sune’s (Thanks). Cloudy red/brown - white head. Candy, fruity, cactus, grass, red berries, dryness, soapy, light malty. Nice. sunevdj (1765), Copenhagen OE, Denmark Aug 31, 2008 @ home with the club. Pours a hazy amber with almost no head. Smells good and hoppy. Very dry. Hoppy aromas. Thin body with highish carbonation. OK. greenhorn1 (458), Mission Viejo, California, USA Aug 9, 2008 22 oz bottle, brewmaster reserve 2007. Pours amber with frothy head. Aroma is malty with slight hint of citrus. Grapefruit flavor with a piney backbone and light spices. A bit on the light side for moutfeel. Overall, not too impressed, a bit one dimensional.
