| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 12, 2004 Clear dark amber body, short-lived off-white head. The aroma has light grapefruit rind, grape vine stem and vanilla cake. Intense american hops in the flavor - grapefruit tempered by sweet grassiness. Additionally, there’s cinnamon stick, cookie dough and bitter grapefruit in the finish. A pretty typcal PNW IPA, not that there’s anything wrong with that, of course. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 8, 2004 Bottle. Was a little dissapointed. Spicy christmas pudding, raisiny, sort of flavour, plus a load of hops at the end, sweet and christmasy, perhaps a little too sweet and sticky. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 5, 2004 Cherry color and off-white head. Nice lace. Spicy hops married to a cinnamon and berry aroma. Has elements of an English Strong Ale. Flavor is acidic, fruity, and mildly woody. Makes me think of mistletoe berries so I guess it’s festive. May be a little peaked. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 5, 2004 Not sure if this tasted like this originally or not but I liked it anyway. Poured a dark amber with a medium off white head. Sweet caramel malt aroma. Mild hops and lightly spicy with cinnamon. The flavor did throw me off as this seems like a Christmas type ale. Moderate hops and sourness in the finish. A good beer. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 6, 2004 Draught: dark golden body with a sticky head. Sugary caramel palate with some nice pine. I don't know why I wanted this to be spicy, I am just strange. . . the finish is long and dry and while I like this one, I can't help but think that there was something missing. . .
