Nice strong IPA. Good bitter, quenching, earthy hops.

I am always surprised to find a winter ale that is loaded with hops - I tend to prefer malty winter beers - but this was quite good. Smells great - big hoppy nose, very perfumy and fresh. The hops show up as a huge effervessing kind of tingle on the palate, which is soon followed by a nice swell of malt. Very grainy IPA for sure. There is some flavor rolling around in the malt I can't really identify, but within mystery resides interest, and this is definitely an interesting beer.

A beer worth celebrating! Full sail always makes a qualty brew, but this one stands out a master piece. I love the spicy, fruity flavor created by the hops, malt sweetness with a strong session beer strenght, Merry Christmas!

Clear golden red in color. Sweet hoppy aroma. Spicey resiny hops balanced out nicely by caramel roasted malt and cookie dough malt characteristics. Bitter flavor with a clean finish. Nice stuff.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2007 Either my sniffer is acting up or the beer didn’t have much of an aroma. Yellow and slightly cloudy in color. Mouth feel is oily, and pleasant. Hop bite on the taste and finish. I liked this beer, I hope to have a few more before the winter season is over.

This was very nice. A lovely amber color topped by a creamy off white head. Super hoppy, but still smooth, with a nice little alcohol warming. Love the fact that it comes in a 22 oz., because its a perfect portion for this. Very tasty.....try to find some before it disappears for another year.

This was a good one. Creamy long-lasting head. Amber color. Tons of hops, never too much in my opinion. There was spice behind the hoppy bitterness, too. I would drink this one year-round.

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2003 tightly packed, creamy head, full and fruity aroma, almost overwhelming hop presence. very fresh, almost grassy taste. But a nice piney, clean finish.

Smells like a bucket of tree sap, but in my opinion, that’s a good thing. Hazy amber with intricate, lasting lace patterns. Full-bodied, smooth and warming. Such a big, piney aroma, it actually made me sneeze. Citric and very hoppy, with a very complementing malt skeleton (more than just a backbone). Spices are subdued behind the hops, the way I like it.
