Pours a transparent copper amber with a spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly caramely malt and some piny grapefruity hops. Body starts fairly full and semi-sweet with a decent caramel malty presence and piny bittering hoppy balance. Not quite as fresh and assertive as some IPAs, but well-balanced and drinkable.

22 oz. bottle pours an amber color with an off white head. Nice smell of grapefruit and floral hops. Medium bodied with a smooth texture. Great taste is mostly flowery and citrusy hops with just enough of a sweet malt smoothness to balance. There are big hop flavors here without being overly bitter.

nice big beer here. the hoppiness was more subdued though, not that kick your face in burn, more of a bittering sour edge. Grapefruity i guess. It was good though hung on the palate for a long time. not my favorite but a good beer to be sure!

07-08 Road Trip with BikesandBeer. Had at Horsebrass Pub in Portland. On Cask. Pours light orange with a half finger tan head. Nose has a light hoppy character. Overall tasty cask IPA.

Pours a one finger cream head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Clear amber color. Medium carbonation and medium bodied. Hoppy nose. Flavor is smooth but hoppy, maybe spices in the background, lingering bitter aftertaste. Typical IPA. $3.79 for a 22oz bottle from John’s Marketplace Portland, OR.

Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry and Blankboy, blankboy’s 2005 bottle. Very very nice aroma of fresh citrus hops. Dark orange, still, very little head. Good taste - mild hops, fresh malt, easy to drink, light to medium body. Some alcohol in finish. Very easy to drink while not leaving too much of an impression in the taste department.

Bottle from Topps in Tempe. The pour was deep amber, clear, some carbonation display of bubbles, white-ish colored head, good off-white lacing. Aroma was strong citrus hops (grapefruits), some resinous notes too. The flavor followed suit, included some booziness for an IPA anyway, grapefruits and light piney notes obviously also present. The finish was pretty darned bitter, a fully hopped IPA, a nice way to clean up the night, but not a standout in and of itself, nor did it fire me up for the winter/holiday season we’re in. Mouthfeel was full, carbonated, bitter finish.

Bottle (22oz). Shared with blankboy and tupalev, blankboy’s bottle. 2005 bottle. Hazy reddish-gold pour, solid frothy off-white head. For a two-year old beer, pretty decent aroma - biscuity roast malt and dry pervasive citrus zest / resin hops. Taste - light citrus juice malt and quite pungent yet light floral hops, with lemon zest in the finish. Pretty solid body, nice light astringency and carbonation - a bit past its best, but still really enjoyable.
