Flavor is again mild, with an orange pith-like bitterness, countered by some sweet toasted malt. Easy drinking, enjoyable, but forgettable IPA. footbalm (1219), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

Pours a clear dark orange with an adequate head. The aroma is an intriguing blend of hops that left me eager to taste - but the taste was a letdown. Aggressive roasted malts compete with rather than complement a fairly nice hop profile; more troubling, the beer is somewhat sticky with a notes of cherry Robitussin.
Not a standout, and probably not worth revisiting. SDalkoholic (1198), Chula Vista, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 15, 2007 22 oz bottle from South Bay drugs. This was an average IPA with minor notes of hops and light presence in both the malt and hops. The apperance was a dark red/ orange and had a decent head. Mellow attempt to get the Christmas spirit in me. jcr (1195), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 11, 2005 Big citrus — grapefruit — aroma with a note of pine. The flavor was 99 percent hops. It started with floral hops with an medium perfume tone. But that flavor gave way to grapefruit and pine. The malt is hardly detectable. The finish was pleasantly bitter. Overall, a bit above average. carruthm (1186), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Dec 21, 2009 Bomber. Big bubbly head, clear orange body. Hops are noticeable in the aroma, but there’s a nice undercurrent of malty sweetness mixed with possibly some fruit as well. Taste matches that with a tug of war between sweet and bitter. Unfortunately, finish falls flat, ending in dry bitterness. glkaiser (1182), Seattle, Washington, USA

Big hop aroma....surprising for a tasting of winter warmers. Solid IPA, balanced well...Creamy and pretty thick. Actually wrote, "What makes this a winter??"

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 27, 2005 Noticable alcohol in nose in a beer less than 8% gets points deducted in my book. Other than that it is a fairly average IPA. Ruby/amber color, no head, sweet crystal malt aroma medicinal hops. Medium bitterness. Not very memorable.
