12 ounce bottle. Bright brassy gold color. Lot’s of big bubble’s leading to a small fluffy beige head. Mild grainy malt nose. Slightly grainy malt upfront, with notes of bitter hops and toasted grain. Slightly buttery with hints of rye. Finish is dry and complex spicy hops.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. A one finger white foamy head appears a top of a slightly clear red/amber body. The head gently dissipated to a fil after about a minute. The smell had a light earthy / citrus sweet hoppines over top of some light sweet caramel malts. The taste was basically balanced between the hops and malts. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Overall, this was a worthy beer of having again.

A crisp pale ale that was hop forward, but balanced enough to not overwhelm the palate like IPAs tend to do. Easy drinking.

Bottle. At first blush this doesn’t impress as anything special. It looks, smells and feels like any of a jillion other APAs out there. But on the palate, this has an above average spicy kick in a fully flavored and well bodied ale. This could be a fridge beer. (#5429, 2/7/2014)

Bottle poured into a nonic pint glass. Pours a clear amber with just under a finger off-white head. Aromas of citrus, light dankness, pine, floral. Tasting notes of floral, pine, caramel, grapefruit citrus, resiny hops. Medium body with a semi-dry finish. I’ve heard mixed reviews on this but it tastes pretty good to me.

Draft into lager glass at Madrones in Frederick, MD. Coppery-golden color with white head. Aroma of piney/citrus hops, malt sweetness and light caramel note. Taste is the aroma adding some fruitiness and breadiness. Light body, moderate carbonation, crisp with dry bitter finish. Overall a nice APA.
