COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Patterson Pumpkin is a deceptively smooth Imperial Pumpkin Ale. This seasonal "feast" begins with a grain menu comprised of 2-Row Pale, Dark Munich, Red Wheat, and Carapils malts joined with Pumpkin in the mash. Sterling, Willamette, and Crystal hops are added to the boil to balance the malt sweetness. Finally, for the delectable pumpkin pie taste and aroma, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and brown sugar are added; creating a rich, full-bodied, Fall drinking experience you’ll want to revisit again and again.

No one of the better beers of this style but not bad. A cloudy dark amber color with a small off white head. Aroma is mostly spices but pleasant. To much bitterness and spices are heavy. Needs more pumpkin and vanilla to balance it and lighten the alcohol notes but still pretty good beer.

Bottle via StateLine.. Dark orange in color, small head. Nose of some vegetable notes, pumpkin, spices, malty. Flavor is pumpkin, sweet malts, spices, and brown sugar. Little heavy on the spices but still good. Maybe some spicey rye notes? Medium body, quaffable... for being such a high alcohol content brew, they did a good hiding it. Overall. Good brew

Burnt copper color, cloudy, decent lacing. Taste is warm with plenty of alcohol, at 9%. Strong, decent amount of punkin, not too spicy, nicely done.

Bottle from Shawan Liquors. Pours golden with a quarter inch of white foam. Pretty big pumpkin on the nose. Unfortunately the experience of drinking tis beer peaks here for me. The taste is very heavy ginger. Finish lingers a bit. I think there’s some hometown scoring own this one.

12oz bottle. Pour is an beautiful hazy orange color with no head. Aroma is sweet pumpkin with hints of spice and caramel. Mouth is flavors of pumpkin, nutmeg and cinnamon and a hint of caramel at the end. Well balanced but the booze is more noticeable as it get warmer. Not a bad offering from a good brewery.
