UPDATED: OCT 25, 2011 This is a delicious, sweet, malty treat. The aroma is too sweet, alcoholic, and even ripe at first, making for a rather mixed first impression, but as it mellows out with temperature, it gets sweeter in a much more elegant and complex kind of way, with dried fruits, nuts and loads of caramel coming out, and the malt backbone taking more of a supporting role. The beer pours a beautiful brown and develops a medium head, but it doesn’t keep it for too long. The taste is wonderful, with the bread character of the malts really coming through. There’s also a nice bouquet of dark fruits and some nice but unexpected floral hops. It is full-bodied and elegantly carbonated. To me this is beer is an utter pleasure; everything about it exudes class. I could see how it may be too sweet for some (if not most) people, but it is a favorite of mine. Excellent.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a trappist glass. Pours translucent amber with small beige head. Small tight lacing, medium body, and slightly sticky texture. Taste is light herbal malt, hint of fruit, and bold bitter hops. Not as good as I expected.

British Store, Budapest. Tetszett.

Bottle from Alko.

Pours dark red with a small sticky head. Aroma has notes of malts, caramel and toffee. Taste is quite malty with notes of hops, caramel and exotic fruits. Long lasting, bitter and sticky finish. Okay, quite well balanced.

the liquid is deep amber/reb brown coloured, slightly hazy. pours a pillowy creamy head that settles real nicely and keeps its texture and thickness. aromascape consists of very refined and finely tuned full malts, caramel and toast. has a balanced bitter hoppy side with rich fruit, citrus, herby grass, wood/oak. the taste is very well balanced with an easy bitterness that compliments the light sweetness. seldom does a beer use its alcoholic content with taste this well. it really warms you up and brings extremely deep texture to the tastes and keeps them alive, but manages to avoid being too heavy on the alcohol. its like this beer has a beating heart. tastes with aromas are very easy to pick up and enjoy, just a very full and enjoyable experience. the body is medium full with a creamy and thick texture. carbonation is spot on just to keep things going. this is like the warmer, darker, subtle, deeper and life-experienced uncle of the fullers ESB. nice job.

0,5 l bottle, Csakajosor.hu, Budapest.
Deep mahagony with a nice ruby tone in the body, stable, creamy medium off white head. Toasted cartamel and some herbal hop in the aroma with some plum, light smoke. Dry taste at the first slip, this herbal hop stays to the end and in the aftertaste, nice fruits and caramel, toasted flavor, light smoke again. Fine!

Szép,rubinvörös amit viszonylag laza nagyobb buborékokat is tartalmazó karamell színű habszőnyeg fed. Illata banános édesség pörkölt maláta és némi füst. Hátul ott van még egy kis erjedt gyümölcs talán szilva. Masszív, tartós keserű tengely, malátás beütés hamuval és kávéval. Elég jó. Az üveg szép.
