Garrafa 500 ml, junho/2008. Coloração âmbar avermelhada, creme denso e gigantesco, lembrando o da Duvel. Carbonatação alta. Super amarga e seca. Aroma floral. Lúpulo evidente. Cítrica, talvez limão.

Creme espetacular, muito consistente e persistente. No aroma, muito lúpulo perfumado, o qual continua no sabor, levemente tostado. Final longo, levemente seco e amargo. Cerveja pra quem, como eu, é "lupulomaníaco".

Light beige weak head. Dark copper - mahogany colour. Aroma is malty with caramel, light raisins and nutty notes. Flavour is moderately hoppy with light fruity and nutty tones, ending in a dry hoppy and wooden finish. Medium bodied.

Poured from 500ml bottle a chestnut brown with medium sized light-tan foam head. Aroma of malt, caramel, and wet hay. Flavor is malty with sweet caramel, toffee, and a touch of bitter orange peel at the end. Palate starts mildly sweet and turn slightly bitter toward the end with a touch of salt on the tongue. Nice smooth drinking beer that is well rounded and has good mouthfeel. I liked this beer and would drink it again.

Tasted 29/05/2008. 500ml bottle from Regional wines and Spirits. Finally rated after many tastings. Dark reddish amber with a lacy beige-tinted cream head. Rich caramel malt, a bit nutty, dark fruit malt flavours (prune, plum, raisin), sweet fruity esters, with toasty malt and hint of chocolate in behind. Same in the mouth, full weighty mouthfeel, cloying, sticky, not a lot of bitterness. I’ve tried really hard to like this beer over the years but it just doesn’t do it for me. It’s well made, complex and interesting but I really struggle to down a pint - maybe a good beer to share between two people (or they could put it out in a smaller bottle, just for me). I’m far from being sold.
