Poured from the bottle, brown with a ruby tint and a full and slightly rocky brownish head. The malty aroma is strong, with some molasses and tobacco. An unexpected bitter flavour roasted malt with some fruits there too. The sharp tangy finish is the only indication of its strength. Very nice and well worth its rating.

Bottle @ Cafe Buitenlust, Oirschot. Shared with Dutchdrebus. Nice dark red color, average sized off-white head. Smell lightly sweet and malts. Taste bitter, malts, some sweetness. Decent carbo, medium body.

English like flavor with this beer with the water and the grassy hops and the toffee like malts that pattern all around it. strong flavor. funky aftertaste that does work but the rest is wonderful.

Bottle from Scotland, thanks Graeme! Pours deep dark clear copper with a big creamy tan head. Aroma of dark fruits and caramel. Taste of raisins, dark roasted malts, maybe some nuts. The alcohol is well hidden, although noticeable . Medium body with minimal carbonation. Nice deep malty aftertaste. Me like.

Pours clear deep dark amber with off white rich head leaving some lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet melassis, roasted malts, bread, raisins, fruity and spicy tones. Such a "sweet" lean mouth feel. Flavor is slightly acidy, rich malty and hoppy, sweet caramel and fruits. Palate feel is just perfect and finish is first sweet acidy turning into a real biting bitter hoppy, long lived aftertaste.

Pigfoot (2266) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 29, 2004
Appearance: dark, nigh-impenetrable amber hue, with a big, creamy head. Aroma: potent hoppiness, toasty and nutty, simmering with fruit notes, too. An admirable amount of complexity to be found in this nose, and it just gets spicier and fruitier as we drink it in. Taste: magnificent mouthfeel, warm, generous, almost dazzling. Doesn’t feel too "strong", but it does have a touch of the "old" about it, the first sip lets you know you’re tasting a legendary brew. Those flavors detected in the nose, noted above, all return and make merry in the mouth, gleefully ringing the senses with a most exceptional taste. Sweet, lively, sharp, distinct, full of tasty hops, richly resounding with a sparkling, coppery flavor. Medium-bodied, with full in the finish. There’s a Hell of a lot going on in this beer, and it’s quite an enjoyable libation, undoubtedly Fuller’s finest!

aroma of malt, somewhat sour, not pleasant. Pours a perfect dark amber with large tan head. Great balance of strong hop and malt with long finishing bitter taste. Palate is a little thin and losses carbonation fast.
