4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Valkyrie001 (3) - - MAY 10, 2013 does not count
I really liked this beer, liquorice aftertaste but not overpowering, a medium dark amber ale, but easily drinkable, honestly I could probably drink this most of the evening, a good bitter drinkers ale. For all though die hards, coats the glass well (yawn) beautiful dark amber notes (sleeping) tastes of caramel and liquorice overtones (am I still here) just drink
It, it’s a bloody good English ale!

An english ale for hop heads. superb
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Pizd (60) - Merseyside, ENGLAND - APR 29, 2013
(Bottle): Pours a clear dark amber with ruby tinges, small off white head. Lots going on with the aroma - lots of different fruits, maltiness, biscuits, bread, licquorice and caramel. Flavour is initially lots of roasted malts and fruits which lingers into a perfect bitterness from the hops all with undertones of caramel and chocolate. There’s also a definite presence, though hidden well, of alcohol. Fantastic beer.
