Sweet perfection! dark amber body and frothy beige head, very bubbly with considerable lacing. Bouquet of yeasty caramelized malts. Flavor is reminiscent of that time my parents first gave me something sweet and delicious as a baby. Mouthfeel is very pleasant, although the aftertaste, albeit pleasant, lingers on and on and on (by no means is that negative, just an observation)...

UPDATED: MAY 9, 2007 Ohhh yeah...THAT’S what I’m talkin’ ’bout. When you think of the word, "Beer", THIS is what should come to mind...very smooth with an excellent, lingering aftertaste...what Rogue’s Hazelnut Brown Nectar wishes it tasted like...

From a distinctive 1pt. .9oz. shaped Fuller’s brown bottle with a blurb about the ale and a "Best Before" date on the back label, 20/Jun/06. Made an impressive appearance, poured a red hued deep copper with a large frothy pale tan head that slowly reduced to a sticky thin ringed lacing. A tasty fruity and grainy aroma, hints of a musky yeastiness and whiffs of sweet alcohol. Good carbonation and a slick, smooth full bodied mouth feel, excellent drinkability. Had a tasty fruity hoppiness at first, a smooth bitterness, followed by a sweet grainy maltiness, traces of woodiness, a fruity alcohol presence on the tongue and a crisp finish with a lingering nutty yeastiness and alcoholic dry fruitiness in the palate.

Bottled. Very dark brass colour, with huge beige foamy head. Looks fantastic! Fruity malty nose. Aroma is fruits, malts with plums and raisins and sweet caramel notes. Fruity malty taste, with ever-lasting bitter hoppy finish. A top one on my list!

Pours a beautiful dark color that looks ruby red when held up to light. The taste is just incredible. It tastes like a cake I love everything that is happening in this beer. I would buy again in a heartbeat.

500ml bottle, best before 16JAN10. Mahogany, reddish brown color. soapy tan head. Big fruit cake aroma. Complex malt character. Light caramel, toast, toffee, nutmeg, with some oak. Flavor is deep earthiness, green hop bitterness, hidden malt sweetness is placed second in flavor to the hop. Finishes with a hint of chocolate malt. this beer is the cured for tghe common cold, when an Imperial Stout is not available. Cheers.

A warm, rich, chestnut colour with a thick tan head. The aroma really is of fruit cake - a slightly spicy one. THe taste is hugh, with lots of fruti and spice on top of the malt, and a dry lingering finish.

500 ml bottle - pours a gorgeous plum tone with a tight sticky off-white cap. Big bright Goldings aroma, along with a subtle spice and some dates. Very soft in the mouth - probably the closest a bottled product will ever come to cask-feel. Beautifully subtle flavours of brown sugar, fresh prunes and a dry, grassy, bitter hop finish that lasts for a long time. A touch of alcohol warms the back of the throat. A masterful concoction, and one that I want to drink lots of.
