Very nice. Strong but not overpowering fruity aroma, reddish-brown with very impressive head retention. Caramel, nutty, malty flavor in the beginning with a pleasant fruity, hoppy finish. I’ll be buying this one again later.

This is a damn good beer. Malty, toffee spicy aroma. Flavor is full initially sweet, then hints of toffee and malt, as it becomes more bitter and finishes off with a nice bite. Delicious.

Sweet malty aroma and puffy white head. Light brown body tastes of caramel malt and goldings hops. Silky palate and a great toasty finish. A fine British Ale!

The aroma is malt, hops, caramel and chocolate. Clear auburn, pours a large tan coloured, merinque head, leaving plenty of lace. Majestic hop forefront, lovely malt follows, with a soft fruit and woodiness. Incredibly well balanced, medium bodied, after each swallow is a wonderful return of hops, gorgeous, layered mouthfeel. A magnificent beer! Far too easy to drink for 6.3%.

Dynamite reddish-amber hue shows off gorgeous foam cap! If the appearance doesn’t impress you, just smell it! Warm, spicy notes - nutmeg, allspice - expertly showcases the yeast’s fruity esters. EKG hops - a standard for this style of beer - are expertly showcased in a way that aroma AND flavor all come together in a symphony of balance! No, I do not work for the brewery - I’m just happy to find a brew that so well defines the best of its intended style! Fantabulous

Pours clear deep dark amber with off white rich head leaving some lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet melassis, roasted malts, bread, raisins, fruity and spicy tones. Such a "sweet" lean mouth feel. Flavor is slightly acidy, rich malty and hoppy, sweet caramel and fruits. Palate feel is just perfect and finish is first sweet acidy turning into a real biting bitter hoppy, long lived aftertaste.

Excellent, excellent beer. A very difficult beer to dislike, or even find fault with. Typical english ale malt profile, hops come through a little more, giving a grassy, herbal undertone to a carmel/toffee/spice charactered beer. The rich copper color is capped by a thick, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, caramel and spice. There is an interesting sweet aftertaste, that I can only describe as lingering sweet cream. Serious English character, serious taste, and a serious beer for serious beer drinkers. Not a beer to pass up.

Bottle 6.3% poured a ruby brown with off white head smells of toffee and caramel to taste burnt toffee spices with depths of flavour and a lovley warmth on the aftertaste and long lived flavour excellent ale
