great ale, murky bronze colour, fruits and floral hops in the aroma. taste strikes a balance between rich malt and bitter floral hops, flavor hasa birned fruit and herbal quality. I like to think of it asa genteel british arrogant bastard.

Excellent beer. Foamy, oatmeal colored head leaves thick lacing. Red brown, clear. Nose of apricot, candy sugar, maybe cinnamon. Coats the mouth with light flavors of malt, fruit, milk chocolate, and spice. Finishes with a dry, somewhat woody, hop bite. Very drinkable yet sturdy.

UPDATED: NOV 3, 2005 A really nice beer with tantalizing complexity. Subtle hops and very nicely balanced with fruity malt and spice flavors. Despite bottle-conditioning and above average ABV, freshness is crucial with this one. A fresh bottle is exquisite. I’ve had some older bottles that were lackluster.

Malty, spicey aroma. Outstnding flavor of malt, fruit and spiciness, with a hint of whiskey. Warm sensation from the alcohol. Well balanced bitterness.

This beer has a fantastic amber color and a good head, though it disappears fast. The aroma is slightly fruity. And the flavor is fantastic with hints of oranges and a slight sweetness ending of with a fantastic bitterness from a great sort of hop. Nothing less than a fantastic beer.

Dark amber, almost ruby in color. Medium sized tan head, slowly diminishing to a strong lacing. Very light, tiny-bubbled carbonation. Aroma is strongly sweet and doughy - almost like a cookie dough. Lighter aroma from fruits (raisin, grape, apple), and caramel. Flavor is malty sweet, some of the same cookie dough from the aroma, and light caramel tones in the back. Thick and chewy on the tongue.

Actually, I’m quite impressed. This is very dry beer, somewhat like a good merlot wine. It is very smooth and very nice-looking: bright red body and thick white head. This is a sipping beer to go with a good steak.

Rubyish color and a long lasting head. Aroma suggested wood to me. Taste is quite nice: a mix of fruit typical of an English beer, but with a hit of the wood taste one might expect from some Scotches. Malt and hops make their appearances. A wonderful offering from Fullers, and my 200th tasting!
