UPDATED: MAY 23, 2011 Must re8 , thAt aroma is good shit...complex and rich , fruitcake , fugggles and burnt notes . Powerful , deeply malty and once upon a time my favorite beer on earth.4 score(r8_) it looks beautiful ...smells of earthy hops..fruitcake..cuban cigars...and obese malts. in the mouth its rich , treacly jamish and with a burnt nuttiness. notes of chocolate ..earthy hops with floral accents bring back good memories. The palate is less full bodied than I recall , so just a 3 there . A cultured bottle conditioned beer..

Bottle. Pours clear, scarlet-brown, with a one finger biege head, good lacing. Malty and fruity aroma, like pears and spice. Medium body, velvety smooth. A little bitter up front, then it gets sweeter, caramel and nuts, finishes with a mellow bitter, with an edge of pine and citrus. Drinkable and balanced.

Pours a deep amber with moderate beige head. Very heavy aroma of dark malts (bread, nuts, fruits, caramel). Intense taste, very well done beer. Smooth all the way and just a bit of dryness at the finish. Excellent brew!

bottle. Dated for june 2010, but 2-3 months can’t hurt it too bad. Pours earthy brown color with visible sediment, and tan head. Aroma of plum, pear, honey, toffee, spices, oak, caramel, raisin. Smooth, creamy palate, silky and soft. Full bodied flavor delivers toffee, caramel, and butterscotch, with indeed a somewhat dry finish. I found the fruitiness of the aroma to only be barely detectable in the flavor. There is also an earthy, oaky wood aspect to the taste. Overall very well done, extremely sessionable and drinkable. I have loved every beer I’ve tried from fullers and this one is no exception.

Very nice! Pours a reddish-brown with a creamy head. Creamy mouth-feel with light carbonation. Rich flavor yet well balanced with a dry hoppy finish.

Rich honey and malt aroma off a very fluffy light tan head. A reddish brown full-bodied pour, 1845 is sweet, malty, and very smooth. It clings to the glass for dear life, and finishes with a nice bittering hop that is well balanced and very pleasing. Because of the bottle conditioning, I get some yeasty notes, but also some citrus, dark fruit, chocolate and toffee. Very nice! Tasted @ 60F.
