Bottle. Dark amber body, really nice off-white head, malt and Goldings in the nose. NICELY balanced caramel notes, herbal earthy hops.

Tasted in Toronto. Ontained from a far, far away land known only to locals as Scotland. Tasted in the finest dimple mug the hudson?s bay company had to offer at the time for $6.99 (two for $12). Appearance was majestic - deep reddish copper brown colour, triumphant head, laughing in the wind of my awestruck yet pious exhale. Aroma, aroma, but how do you describe angels breath? Sweet, floral, estery caramel and yes, as per the apt description fruit cake at christmas time. First sip....rejoice. Second sip...despair. Famous. Lovely. Nasty. A nexus of destruction. A mere mortal such I, tasting this, thine nectar of the gods, gods long past yet everlasting in the primordial soup of my ethereal descartes like dislocated mind. Swimming ad infinitum - undecidable. Hints of alcohol, warmth and frienship. Yes, my little beer, I am your friend. I understand your hardship, your malevolent quest for ultimate, yet finite supremecy. But for now, on this lonely and foresaken evening, please, allow yourself to be consumed into the depths of my nether belly.....ummmmm......beer.

Amazingly good ale, with very strong woodsy malt flavor. Nice coffee and carmel flavors and an excellent dark amber color

The best thing about this beer is the finish; dry hoppiness and a slight, malty sweetness. Great appearance and smooth going down the old gullet. Good stuff.

Pours deep amber/brown with medium tight beige head. Floral hop aromas, along with coffee and caramel. Very floral taste, with hints of roasted coffee.. chocolate.. caramel. Sweet malt well balanced by hops and roasted grains. Lovely and smooth too :)

Huge head of fine bubbles. Creamy on top and light tan in color. Roasty aroma of fresh, crusty bread, a hint of coffee and a slight hops nose that becomes more prominent as the beer warms. Color is a nice deep reddish orange. Wow. This stuff is incredibly easy to drink. Goes down smooth and makes you beg for more. Flavor is roasty with a good helping of malt, a touch of fruit and a bit of alcohol. Finish is creamy and smooth with a slight hops bitterness and a nice alcohol warming. A very well balanced brew that is way to easy to drink for the 6+ % alcohol.
