Pours a beautiful dark color that looks ruby red when held up to light. The taste is just incredible. It tastes like a cake I love everything that is happening in this beer. I would buy again in a heartbeat.

Mahogany colored with an offwhite head. Nice roasty biscuit malt nose with a caramel biscuit taste. A really nice finish.

16.9 oz bottle from.. well, I don’t remember. Pours a deep dark very hazy brownish dark amber color. Big tan bubbly head that is sticking around fairly prominently. Aromas are malty, sweet breads and caramel, very english with a wee touch of chocolatey creaminess with a touch of hoppy bitterness on the back end and a hint of booze. Initial is very malty with a strong bitterness on the back end. Biscuity malts with some sweetness mixed well with the bittering and notes of bitter chocolate mixed in. Very "cakey", as if a bakery put one in the bottle.Very strong malt profile balanced well with the very strong bittering hops. Alcohol is fairly apparent, even if it is only 6.3%. A very interesting beer indeed! Cheers for #200!

(500 ml bottle (best before 10/9/09) via trade with IrishBoy, thanks Richard!) Pours coppery, medium-dark amber, looks fairly clear. Four big fingers of fairly sturdy biscuit head. Aroma is malt-dominated - egg, vanilla and milk caramel. Mouthfeel is fairly beefy and smooth. Only a tiny bit of prickliness. Flavor is malty in the fore - caramel, vanilla and light egg followed by a bitterness that tingles the tongue and builds toward finish providing a nice hoppy bitter bite in the finish. Nicely hopped beer. Pretty similar profile to the ESB but not quite as bold. Another nice straightforward beer from this brewery.

Strong alcohol content obviously! Nice tasting beer this one. Not too heavy to drink either and a solid beer from Fullers.

A clear amber body wth a thick tan head, ths ale has a very smooth, balanced deeply complex flavor with some subtle spice notes.
