Cask: Regular (but not permanent). Also available bottle conditioned (at 5.3%).

NOTE: Originally developed for Systembolaget in Sweden as the 5.3% bottle conditioned version of Fullers India Pale Ale in 2009. Also released in bottles into some other export markets under that name at around the same time. Subsequently launched in the UK as Bengal Lancer and exported at 5.3% in bottle conditioned format to certain export markets under that name. The bottled version of Bengal Lancer and the 5.3% bottle conditioned version of India Pale Ale are the same beer, as is the slightly weaker 5.0% cask version. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDQNyaNLkQc for explanation.

Bengal Lancer is an exciting, classic India Pale Ale from Fuller’s. Brewed to 5% ABV (5.3% in bottle), this ale has been inspired by the history and character of this traditional style of beer.
Bengal Lancer has returned to pumps for an extended period between Autumn 2011 and Spring 2012.
The beer is pale in colour, full-bodied with a distinctive hoppiness that marks it out as a true India Pale Ale.

Koloru soku jabłkowego, z niewielką pianą odrobinkę krążkującą. Aromat słodowy, odrobinę owocowy. Wysoko wysycony, bardziej wytrawny niż niewytrawny.

Atlanta, Ga - Total Wine - Perimeter - 500 ml bottle. Pours a sparkling medium copper with a soft, thin but ling lasting white head that clings to the edge of the glass. Aroma is slightly boozy with some diluted Scotch Whisky notes, just a hint of juniper. Flavor is a bit boozy as well - especially considering the fairly low ABV. Pick up some diluted Scotch and water, light mint, just a wee bit of nice subtle spicy bitterness to keep it interesting. Mouthfeel has a nice spritz to it. Decent, but slightly underwhelmed. .

Bouteille 50cl de chez Saveur bière. IPA minimaliste, houblonnage très discret & corps léger, bref rien de particulier. Bière de soif.

500 ml bottle. Clear, light orange color, long-life creamy and rocky off-white head that never ends, moderate pine and grape aroma, light body, soft carbonation, sweet malty and powerful fruity bitter hoppy taste, pine and fruity hoppy palate. Easy-drinkable.

Bottle. Oh, what a great example of how the American brand of "India Pale Ale" has ventured so far away from the baseline. This has many of the same visual ... amber/orange, big white head ... but it’s also quite still. The aroma has a perfumed, soapy sting, not the requisite citrus most Americans have come to expect. This drinks with a floral flavor, not as earthy and dirty as some English IPAs ... but there’s still more of a wooden base. In the very ending I find just a hint of some displeasing funk, but you have to really concentrate to get it, so overall I found this enjoyable and a good academic exercise. (#5554, 6/15/2014)

Decent bitterness and body, although it could do better with some tweaks. Nice enough brew, quite sessionable, but overally not very complex.

Nice! Just what an English IPA should be. Biscuity malts to complement the hops, average abv, and of course balance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, 500 ml. Pours mostly clear amber with minimal amount of soapy white head. Floating yeast particles visible. Aroma of caramel malt, yeast, grassy and floral hops, citrus and apple. Taste is very bready and yeasty, which a nice backdrop of caramel, honey, lemon, and the ever present hoppy bitterness, which is more prominent in the finish. Sweet and bitter flavours are balanced well in this medium bodied and softly carbonated brew, exactly how an IPA should taste.
