COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular (but not permanent). Also available bottle conditioned (at 5.3%).

NOTE: Originally developed for Systembolaget in Sweden as the 5.3% bottle conditioned version of Fullers India Pale Ale in 2009. Also released in bottles into some other export markets under that name at around the same time. Subsequently launched in the UK as Bengal Lancer and exported at 5.3% in bottle conditioned format to certain export markets under that name. The bottled version of Bengal Lancer and the 5.3% bottle conditioned version of India Pale Ale are the same beer, as is the slightly weaker 5.0% cask version. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDQNyaNLkQc for explanation.

Bengal Lancer is an exciting, classic India Pale Ale from Fullerís. Brewed to 5% ABV (5.3% in bottle), this ale has been inspired by the history and character of this traditional style of beer.
Bengal Lancer has returned to pumps for an extended period between Autumn 2011 and Spring 2012.
The beer is pale in colour, full-bodied with a distinctive hoppiness that marks it out as a true India Pale Ale.

Lacks any hippy, fruity, citrus taste. No real Aroma. Tastes stronger than it really is. Quite disappointing.

Aromas of biscuit and fruity hops. Clear orange with a lasting, satiny, white head. Malty all the way through, balanced well by subtle, clean, earthy bitterness. Light-medium bodied, very smooth, creamy.

Amber pour with no head, light fruity and malty aroma. Taste consists of a strong malt backbone, with a strong hops kick and a bitter finish. Nice

Servita molto sgasata, schiuma alta e bianca, non molto persistente. Colore carico, quasi bruno. Gusto amaro, lascia la bocca asciutta. Nel complesso classica ipa.

Butelka 0.5L. Wysycenie spore. Odczucie w ustach metaliczne, dość suche na finishu. Przyzwoite klasyczne IPA.

Quite a malty aroma, hasnít got the tropical fruit , or the bitter kick of US style ipa. Drinkable , but not great.

Bottle 330ml as India Pale Ale 5.7% @ home
Pours slightly hazy deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, grass and floral. Body is light to medium sweet and medium bitter with a long floral and grassy finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Brownish orange, clear beer with bubbles and a brief white head. Fruity, hoppy aroma. Body is medium minus. Quite strong hops for a British style IPA. Some grassy notes mixed with bitter grape fruit. Some caramel and notes of wood too. Pretty balanced beer with some fruitiness and balanced bitterness yet very drinkable even for thirst.

Great beer. Fruit salad. Strawberries, pineapples and peaches. Nice earthy/spicy hoppiness. Nice moderate bitterness. Sweet. It has the typical Fullerís character.

Tap @De Wildeman. Clear amber color, tiny white head, some lacing; fruity nose, bread, touch of honey, peach, apricot, ginger, citrus; mild bittersweet taste, bit citric; medium-bodied, oily to creamy texture; mild bitter finish that lingers on, bit peppery.
