Cask @ old bank of england, fleet street. Pours golden amber. Small white head. Biscuity aroma. Bitter, but not in a good way. Better than pride though...

Drank as a cask. Nice, smooth and not that strong. Something you would expect at a British pub.

BOTTLE 50 CL as ĒFullerís India Pale AleĒ (Bottle Conditioned) at 5,3%. The aroma is sweet fruit/marmalade and light zesty hops. The flavour is also fruity sweetness and hops, with medicinal notes and aspirin-like bitter finish. Not bad.

A potentially divisive beer. There is no denying its charms: crisp and finite after-taste, wonderful hue, clear bitterness and hoppy attack. Is there anything that tips it into greatness, though? The juryís out. It is difficult to fault it in any area, but how does it stand against the true greats? Perhaps with a louder voice, it could really contend, but, one canít help but feel, work may still need to be done. Enjoy with your family, friends and most certainly on your own. Donít shy away from making this a staple of future sessions.

ENG: 500ml bottle from DeVine store @ 104th St, Edmonton. Poured into the glass. Light orange opalescent color with medium tan head. Aroma of citrus, caramel, herbs and grass. Taste of hops, hay, a bit citrusy and a bit caramel / malty. Quite balanced for an IPA (but maybe thatís because itís British). Quite large saturation, but still easy drinkable. Overall very mild character, but interesting and enjoyable beer. ///~~~/////~~~/// ///~~~/////~~~/// ///~~~/////~~~/// ///~~~/////~~~/// ///~~~/////~~~/// PL: Butelka 500ml zakupiona w DeVine w Edmonton. Przelana do szkła. Jasno-pomarańczowa, opalizująca barwa ze średnią, jasną pianą. Aromaty cytrusůw, karmelkůw, chmielu oraz ziůł i trawy. W smaku chmiel, siano, cytusy i odrobina karmelu, słodu. Dość zbalansowane jak na IPA (ale może to dlatego, że to brytyjskie piwo). Dość nagazowane, ale nadal bardzo pijalne. Podsumowując, piwo z delikatnym charakterem, ale interesujące.

Clear golden of color with a small white head. An aroma of grass, citrus, hay, herbs and dry. A flavor of grass, hay, hops, dry and weak bread.

An average bitter with malty, spicy tones but resulting in a disappointing finish - not an IPA IMHO. Rated by BrewTom

Cask version - really a totally different beer from the bottle version. A great British style cask IPA if on form. Hops are really tasty and fresh, and very English in character: classy and understated.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber with 1 finger white head. Dissipates fairly quickly. Aroma is apricot and orange with malty undercurrent. Decent mouthful, appropriate for style and abv. Flavour begins with apricot, then bready malt and finishes with a bitter hop bite and slightly resinous. Good example of a traditional British IPA.
