COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular (but not permanent). Also available bottle conditioned (at 5.3%). Bengal Lancer is a traditional India Pale Ale, pale amber in colour, distinctively hoppy and highly refreshing. It’s notable for floral and spicy notes from the hops, and a finish of mild bitterness. A version of Bengal Lancer is brewed specifically for the export market, known simply as Fuller’s India Pale Ale.

Orange light amber and opalescent with a small pillowy off white head. On the nose aromas of biscuit-caramel nuttiness with herbal, hay and earthy notes with a good chunk of jam impressions develop. Soft livelyness, somewhat slick and medium bodied. Some biscuit malt sweentess showing the way to balanced herbal bitterness. Medium finish.

Bue en bouteille. Anglaise classique, peu de CO2, plutôt light. Mais houblonnage plus présent, intéressant. Dans la moyenne.

Ambar ligeramente turbia. Dos dedos de espuma. Aroma agradable, floral, frutal a naranja y melocoton. Rico sabor, dulcemente floral y naranja amarga que va evolucionando hacia el final seco y ultra amargo caracteristico del estilo. Cuerpo moderado y carbonatacion contenida. Ipa Muy bebible, por el moderado alcohol. Notable.

Pite z butelki z etykietą India Pale Ale. Piwo klarowne o złotej barwie z średnio obfitą pianą, szybko opadającej do cieniutkiej obwódki. W aromacie owoce oraz nuty ziołowe i trawiaste. W smaku głównie przyjemna ziołowość. Goryczka średnia. Ogólnie przyjemne typowo angielskie IPA.

500 ml bottle pours clear amber with white head that dissipates quickly. Pretty light nose with malt and undiscerned fruit. Taste is malty caramel with fresh, fragrant fruits. Good, crisp drying finish without being too bitter. Solid British IPA.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2015 0.5 bottle from britishstore.hu, labelled as Fuller’s India Pale Ale. Starts with a nice head but quickly vanishes. Head has mildly bitter taste with malty and fruity notes. Colour is a bit darker than a pilsner, but fairly pale altogether. The taste is a balanced British ale on the bitter side, with moderate fruity notes plus some caramel maybe. Carbonation is OK, could be milder but becoes fairly silky in the end. Nice bitterish aftertaste. Well balanced, nice stuff. (Rerated on 8 August, very nice malty finish with silky mouthfeel and balanced frouty hoppiness, raise the score a bit. A fine beer.

Bottle from Sainsbury's. Poured clear, dark amber in colour with a thick, foamy white head. Aromas of citrus fruits and sweet malt. Sweet taste of caramel, malts and some grassiness. Dry, bitter, lightly hopped flavours coming through.
