COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular (but not permanent). Also available bottle conditioned (at 5.3%).

NOTE: Originally developed for Systembolaget in Sweden as the 5.3% bottle conditioned version of Fullers India Pale Ale in 2009. Also released in bottles into some other export markets under that name at around the same time. Subsequently launched in the UK as Bengal Lancer and exported at 5.3% in bottle conditioned format to certain export markets under that name. The bottled version of Bengal Lancer and the 5.3% bottle conditioned version of India Pale Ale are the same beer, as is the slightly weaker 5.0% cask version. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDQNyaNLkQc for explanation.

Bengal Lancer is an exciting, classic India Pale Ale from Fullerís. Brewed to 5% ABV (5.3% in bottle), this ale has been inspired by the history and character of this traditional style of beer.
Bengal Lancer has returned to pumps for an extended period between Autumn 2011 and Spring 2012.
The beer is pale in colour, full-bodied with a distinctive hoppiness that marks it out as a true India Pale Ale.

SchŲner stabiler Schaum im IPA-Glas, schwaches Aroma, kaum Frucht. Im Abgang sehr bitter, leichter Tabak. Zu wenig fruchtig fŁr meinen Geschmack.

500ml bottle poured in a chalice. A: Pours a orange clear color with a huge yellow bubbled and aired head. Good retention. Head never disappears completely and many lacings are left around the glass S: Smells like it should: A bouquet of hops, grassy and earthy. Moderate (or conservative), nevertheless. A bit of malts can be also felt T: Follows the nose. An IPA, more precisely, and English IPA. Not strongly grassy and bitter like and American one but mild and very drinkable. The taste of hops is quite earthy. Very good balance between the malts vs. the hop bitterness M: Great body. Light and neutral. A bit molasses. Carbonation is medium to low, English style. Bitter aftertaste is a pleasure O: Lovely IPA. God save the Fullerís! [ BA Review @ 7/12/2011 ]

Bottle. Pours orange, hazy as itís real ale. Nice aroma, even when youíre in love with American hops. Could be more intensive, though. Thereís a good maltiness finishing with some bitterness. Typical English-fruity. Quite good.

One of the best beer from Fullerís. I felt somebody kicked my head when I tries first time. Intense yet well balanced flavour. Nice hoppy finish.
