3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
An enjoyable stout that lends itself to session drinking. Has the flavour to keep one interested and the strength to keep one coherent.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle gift from the Scotsman. A bit thin in the body and watery. However, a nice blend of roast, dark fruit and chocolate. Just wish it was thicker and more tastey.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a dark, ruby-cola brown color with a 1 1/2 finger tan head. Date and chocolate on the nose. Smooth, moderately thick mouthfeel. A little scrubbiness on the back of the tongue. Definitely some chocolate coming through with the sweeter component of the malt. A darker, more roasted flavor follows. Underlying date/fig flavor persists throughout. If there ever was a sessionable stout, this is one.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
0.5 bottle. Quite thin, brown head which tops a jet black liquid leaving no lacing. A lot of roasted malts, coffee and caramel with some chocolate-like sweetness. Alongside these the flavor introduces definitive charred wood notes, but the chocolate sweetness still keeps the balance and does not let the beer become too bitter. Medium body, slick texture and soft carbonation. Finish is medium-long and rather eventless, simply reiterates the aforementioned flavors with diminished strength. Overall the beer is good but too dry for my taste, it also doesnít have the typical stoutness one would expect. Nevertheless quite interesting and recommendable.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml bottle as "Fullerís London Black Cab Stout" bought at Market Place by Jasonís at iSquare in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Clear deep blackish brown colour; One finger head with slightly creamy beige foam which last for 1 minute; Fairly stickly lacing and notable carbonation; Strong aroma of roast malt, with black coffee, dark chocolate, caramel, burnt toffee and molasses; Nice light sweet taste of dark roast malt, with strong black coffee, coffee sludge, cream, nuts, light dark chocolate, smoke, hint of tartness, low liquorices, pretty strong citrus and notable grass; Light body, thin but slightly slick palate; Mouth feel is full of strong but nice black coffee and sludge, light dark roasted malts, a bit like a Schwarz but with livelier elements. Good toffee, nuts and smokes at near zero sweetness level. Pretty nice. Tartness shows up as flashes; Hoppiness is nicely embedded with low citrus and notable strawy nose, notable lemon and grass taste. Fairly low liquorice for bitterness for a low key finish; Slightly dry after taste, quite easy to mouth.
Comments: This is pretty decent stuff - good looks, nice nose to make an impression, and good black coffee plus subtle cream taste to compensate its watery body. If itís has a bit more tartness and get a richer body, itíll be an all-round winner. An on-the-mark stuff for now. Drinkable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 50 cl. Pours black in color with a tan head. Roasted malts, some sweeter brown sugary notes and bitter chocolate in aroma. Roasted notes, slightly burnt wooden notes even and bitter dark chocolate in flavor. Well this was a tasty one, just so soft and well balanced.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Totally black beer with a nice big beige head leaving lacing on the glass. The aroma has chocolaty sweetness, roasted malts and some cocoa. Taste has chocolaty sweetness, slight roastiness and loafy bready malts. The palate is thin to medium with no hops to speak of. The finish is a bit ashy. A surprisingly tasty stout for this ABV without being watery or dry.

Svart med lite skum.
Litt kaffe, men skuffende lite lukt. Rund smak, lite kullsyre og lite bitterhet
