Has that unique Fullers sweetness I’ve come to expect with their beers. Roasty, sweet and tasty. A really enjoyable stout.

RW80 (582) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 31, 2014
0,5 cl bottle Appearance: Black with a cloudy slightly tanned head.Nice lacing, ok retention. Aroma: Faint roasted malts, sweet chocolate, but it suggest a thin not so complex palate. Taste: Fuller as the aroma roasted and toasted malts and a nice bitter chocoilate taste, Finish is dry. Slight sourness and medium sweetness. Thin-medium body, slightl below average carbonation The Aroma doesn’t do the taste full justice. With 4.5 %ABV a good everyday stout,

I swear this is near-perfect beer. Poured from cool-looking pint bottle into nonic pint glass. Opaque dark brown colour, reddish at the edges, with beige foam, long-lasting with lace. Tart, toasty, bready, nutty, faint orange marmalade, black pepper, charred wood. Definite tartness like plum skins or sour cherries. Medium body and carbonation, well-rounded mouthfeel, just the right amount of residual caramel sweetness, nice session-strength alcohol, exquisitely complex aftertaste. Another mesmerizingly delicious Fullers brew, I could drink gallons. My wife has never enjoyed a single stout I’ve handed her, even she liked this one. If a cask of this is even better as I suspect, you Londoners are lucky devils.
