COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with a combination of five different malts, some heavily roasted for a near jet black appearance, and beneath its dark exterior features luxurious red berry notes, toasty aromas on the nose and culminates in a dry, bitter finish.

Bottle from a newsagent in Uxbridge. Deep brown pour with some hints of ruby and a thin, but consistent carbonation. Soft caramel and molasses in the nose, along with some choc and char. Off to a good start. Body is a bit on the thin side, but has a nice consistency - milky with some grit, appropriate to style. Slight fruitiness emerges but generally tastes quite intensely roasty. Good thing, since I enjoy that flavor for a dry stout.

Pours black with a rich, frothy cocoa head. Laces the glass quite thick. Aroma is cocoa and sharp roasted malt. The beer has a dark roasted malt flavor and is thin and almost watery in body. You have to let this beer warm up a bit to enjoy it. Then some chocolate flavors cut through the dark roasted malt. And the body thickens a lot. The finish is slightly creamy dark roasted malt. Pretty ok... I guess, no, its just average, like most English wares.

Aroma: Milk chocolate, coffee and tootsie roll. Appearance: Black with a quickly fading milk chocolate head. Flavor: Roasted grain, malt with a firm bitter finish. Palate: Medium to full bodied with low to moderate carbonation. Overall: Amazing aroma, but the flavor does not live up to it. Still a very nice roasty, bitter stout.

500ml bottle. Jet black pour with big chocolate milk head. Bright light shined behind it barely got through at all. Aroma is not especially strong, roasted malt and a little coffee. Taste is similar, but fuller. Creamy, full body. Overall, it was a more flavourful Guinness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours black, black cherry, with a frothy, oatmeal head. Aroma is chocolate, roast, old smoke. Flavour is bitter dark fruit, chocolate, malt, stale ash,...burnt coffee. Slightly watery despite the bold flavouring... Still, a pleasure to drink.

Pour shows some light, sits very pretty. Black in the glass with one finger of caramel brown head. Very nice nose, burnt sugar, caramel, and black coffee. Some dark fruits show with a touch of bitter chocolate. Dark and bitter black malt shows with a nice roast. Some char/acidic notes show. Medium light bodied with a light acidity.

Decent black pour, frothy mocha head. Roast coffee, chocolate malts, hint of black liquorice. Chewy mouthfeel. Solid stout finish. Oh yeah. Fuller’s is yet to disappoint me!

Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Smells of coffee and roasted malts. Tastes of cocoa, bitter, coffee, malts, and sort of metallic. For a stout, it is watery on the tongue.
