3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from a newsagent in Uxbridge. Deep brown pour with some hints of ruby and a thin, but consistent carbonation. Soft caramel and molasses in the nose, along with some choc and char. Off to a good start. Body is a bit on the thin side, but has a nice consistency - milky with some grit, appropriate to style. Slight fruitiness emerges but generally tastes quite intensely roasty. Good thing, since I enjoy that flavor for a dry stout.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Black colour with a brown head. Rich and sweet aroma with notes of roasted malt and coffee. Medium dry taste with a heavy dose of roasted malt. Medium bitterness. Slightly acidic. Medium body, average carbonation, bitter finish. A good stout, but perhaps a bit too dry.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Too warm and in a mug (so appearance rating a grain of salt). But still an enjoyable experience. Really toasty - lots of burnt toast, cocoa. Has a bitter edge to it, seems to even have some acidity (or just citrus) to sharpen it up.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours dark brown, almost black opaque colour with almost no light brown head, which immidiately dissapeared. Slow rising bubbles.
Almost without aroma - I detected only roasted malts and barley, without any ester. Alcohol note is not noticable.
Taste is similar: Alcohol note is not noticable, dominate note of roasted and of dark chocolate. Malt sweetness is mild or low-medium, hop bitterness is medium. Finish is dry and bitter, but not so long lastnig.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Black color with a thick off-white head. Aroma is sour with notes of grapes, no roasted malts, no coffee, no chocolate, nothing as described by everyone else, Looks like Iíve got a bad one. Flavor is sour as aroma. I need to try another one.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours pitch black with somewhat small head. Very nice dry stout. I honestly prefer this to Guinness. Not the same mouthfeel but way better roasty flavor. Chocolate, coffee and bread. Nicely hopped and a dry finish.
