COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle & Keg; Filtered & pasteurised.

Brewed with a combination of five different malts, some heavily roasted for a near jet black appearance, and beneath its dark exterior features luxurious red berry notes, toasty aromas on the nose and culminates in a dry, bitter finish.

Bottle from a newsagent in Uxbridge. Deep brown pour with some hints of ruby and a thin, but consistent carbonation. Soft caramel and molasses in the nose, along with some choc and char. Off to a good start. Body is a bit on the thin side, but has a nice consistency - milky with some grit, appropriate to style. Slight fruitiness emerges but generally tastes quite intensely roasty. Good thing, since I enjoy that flavor for a dry stout.

Bottle from Morrisons. (4 for £6) Had this 3 years ago and thought it was a decent stout. This time, it is really disappointing - either my palate has changed, or this has. Whatever the reason, this bottle is really bland and forgettable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bottle-sampled while on deployment in Africa Pours Pretty much pitch black with a nice rocky dark tan head and sparse lacing. Nose is roasty, dry, lite char, coco. Flavors exhibit the roast and coca flavors very nicely. Very dry, perfect for a dry stout. has a full body considering the ABV. Decent Full bodied stout. I will drink this again on this deployment.

Bottle. Very dark color, as a stout should be. Tastes of chocolate, coffee, roasted and a little bit smokey. Very drinkable, but a bit too flat for me.

Fules (500) - Gyöngyös, HUNGARY - JUN 4, 2016
Könnyed, szinte egyáltalán nem keserű, enyhe étcsokoládés jelleg, fűszeresség nem jellemző, inkább semleges íz.

Served in a snifter from a 500ml bottle. Pours almost black colour with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, prunes and slight coffee and chocolate notes. Taste is slightly nutty with notes of chocolate, coffee and prunes. Light to medium body with medium carbonation and silky texture. Not a complex one which makes it a very enjoyable session stout.

500ml bottle. Excellent nose of caramel and toffee. Thick mouth feel as expected for a stout with a strong palate to back it up.
