Aroma is nutty, roasty and burnt fried bread, planty hops and interesting earthy, fruity notes. Flavor is roasted nuts, roast, char (something like normal roasty char, but with an underlying, though barely noticeable burnt vegetable oil taste), burnt peanuts, light char, light planty and herbal hops, smoke and some fruity and berry-like notes. Finishes with roast, char, leather, earth and fruity notes. Light body, dry slightly chalky feel throughout with a light carbonation. Pretty tasty, nice roasty kick for a 4.5% stout

Pour shows some light, sits very pretty. Black in the glass with one finger of caramel brown head. Very nice nose, burnt sugar, caramel, and black coffee. Some dark fruits show with a touch of bitter chocolate. Dark and bitter black malt shows with a nice roast. Some char/acidic notes show. Medium light bodied with a light acidity.

Decent black pour, frothy mocha head. Roast coffee, chocolate malts, hint of black liquorice. Chewy mouthfeel. Solid stout finish. Oh yeah. Fuller’s is yet to disappoint me!

Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Smells of coffee and roasted malts. Tastes of cocoa, bitter, coffee, malts, and sort of metallic. For a stout, it is watery on the tongue.

Pours thin black, with strong beige head. Week aroma, good flavor dominated by coffee notes with good bitter finish. Lacks complexity, but pretty good.

UPDATED: MAY 19, 2013 Bel cappello di schiuma color nocciola, molto fine ed aderente, colore marrone scuro, aroma con note di cacao, malti tostati ed una nota erbacea, al palato corpo da medio a leggero con carbonazione media- bassa, note di cacao, cioccolata amara, pane biscottato, noci ed erbaceo, buoni equilibri tra malti tostati e luppoli, con finale amaro, secco. Direi beverina, abbinabile ad un buon piatto di bigoli in salsa come ho fatto a pranzo.

50cl bottle from Prammen, Sandvika. Pours black with a medium sized light brown head. Aroma of chocolate malts with some notes of cocoa. Flavour is cocoa and coffee. Low carbonation, medium bitterness, light body.

Bottle. Pours a black oily body with a small off-white head. Aroma is creamy chocolate and cocoa tones, roasted bread, biscuits and hints of coffee. Taste is roasty chocolate and bitter grassy hops, charcoal, toffee and bread crumbs. Burnt toast in the finish. Nice. A bit watery palate, but acceptable. A tasty and drinkable dry stout.
