Bottle & Keg; Filtered & pasteurised.

Brewed with a combination of five different malts, some heavily roasted for a near jet black appearance, and beneath its dark exterior features luxurious red berry notes, toasty aromas on the nose and culminates in a dry, bitter finish.

500ml bottle from Stockmann, Espoo. Pours almost pitch black with a thick tan head that leaves lace on the glass. Roasty flavour with caramel and liquorice. Dry flavour with roasted, almost burnt malt, bitterness and liquorice. Dry, roasted finish with some hoppy bitterness.

Stout typisches Kaffee- und Schokoladenaroma. Mit 4,5 % fŁr ein Stout recht schwach. Gut geeignet fŁr Einsteiger!

Pours jet black with a whipped tan head. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, peanut shells, and caramel. Flavor is roasty with mild, fruity yeast esters. The finish is decidedly dry and roasty with chocolate and espresso. The mouthfeel can only be described as powdery. This is a classic for a reason.

500 ml bottle. Very malty smell, not toasted at all, sweet and caramel has well. Deep dark look with brown little head. Low carbonation with soft toasted taste and with long aftertaste. Good refreshing stout.

Bottle at home. Black pour, thick tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, some ripe dark fruits, sugary malts, caramel and some fruity hops. Flavor is slightly bitter, nice and sweet, a very decent body for the low ABV and a great balance. Well drinkable stout. Nice one.

Ciemnobrązowy kolor, piana drobna beżowa. Aromat palonego karmelu i kawy. Smak palonego słodu, kawy i czekolady. Zaznaczona łagodna goryczka.

Bottle. Black colour, rocky head that disappears rather quickly. Aroma is quite intensive liquorice, a bit roasty. I would expect more coffee and dark chocolate from a stout... Light sweetness. Light body, quite smooth. Itís ok, but lacks character and does not taste like a stout.

DIBBLE (45) - Worthing, West Sussex, ENGLAND - MAR 13, 2015
Pours from bottle thick and reddish black with short lived tan head that disappeared without trace. Aroma of licorice and roast malt with underlying notes of garage forecourt coffee vending machine! (?) Low carbonation with mild tongue fizz. Dense mouth feel. Taste is like aroma but petroleum bitterness is upfront on the finish. Wondering if glass was contaminated? Very odd.

Sweet dark aroma. Very black appearance. Not as thick as I was expecting for a stout. Decent head for a bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
