Bottle & Keg; Filtered & pasteurised.

Brewed with a combination of five different malts, some heavily roasted for a near jet black appearance, and beneath its dark exterior features luxurious red berry notes, toasty aromas on the nose and culminates in a dry, bitter finish.

50cl bottle from Varnaveien mineralvann. Pours very dark brown, almost black, with a beige head. Roasty aroma with licorice, chocolate and hints of coffee and dark fruits. Medium sweet and roasty with a fairly dry and lightly bitter finish. Medium to light body. Mildly bitter aftertaste with roasty notes. Easy to drink, nice and refreshing. Pleasant stout!

Poured from bottle with small creamy head. Aroma faint coffee and dark toast. Taste bitter and with notes of coffee and heavily roasted dark bread. Not much of a body to follow up the initial taste but a slightly rewarding bitterness in the finish. Nice!

500ml bottle served in a tulip glass. A: Beautiful beer, First of all. Beautiful Fullerís bottle art desing with a gray label and a classic brit black cab on it. Pours a deep brown almost black color forming a solid medium thin bubbled tan head. Medium retention and lots of lacings left in the glasd S: Classic roasted malts dry stout in the nose. Smells like an Oreo biscuit. A bit fruity and a bit sweet too T: Follows the nose. Upfront is slightly sweet and very roasted. Quite lactic. Notes of dark fruits. On overall, a very dry taste with a quite dry bitter end which is, at the same time, expected from the style M: Quite creamy body for a 4.5 ABV beer. Good carbonation to a dry stout. Roasted bitter aftertaste O: Good drinkability. Lovely British Stout [ BA Review @ 3/26/2013 ]

Bottle from Morrisons, Bracknell. Poured black, with a large beige head, which dissipated quite rapidly. Aroma was fairly light for a stout; some roasted malt, liquorice and molasses. Light coffee flavour, with vanilla and dark fruit. Mouth feel was medium to full. Finish was burnt malt, fruitcake and espresso.

This is an excellent example of a great dry stout, roasted dry aroma an flavor, something similar to coffee but subtle, malty an caramel flavor, balanced with medium bitterness. Medium body, good head retention and carbonation. Delicious

Keg in the Holly Bush NW3. Dark black colour, thick head. Looks classic, in the style of Guinness. Smooth, some gentle roast, a little fruit. Unfortunately the frozen keg serving tends to dampen flavours somewhat...the cask version is more interesting.

Bottle. Aroma roasted malt, light burnt, fruity, but also moderate amount of metallic. Clear dark brown colour, quickly disappearing head. Taste is roasty and fruity, dull metallic flavour. Rather thin body. Light sourness in finish. Average beer.

Bottle. Medium tan head with no retention. Deep mahogany body. Spice, toffee, chocolate, roasted malt, wood smoke, iron, dust, blackberries, pine resin. Sweet then bitter. A little sourness. Dry finish. Well rounded: good balance between malt and hops. Refreshing. Mouthfeel is a little creamy, quite soft with a little oiliness. Excellent.
