Bottle (50 cl) from Systembolaget. Deep mahogny with medium beige head. Fruity malt aroma, with funky and woody notes, earthy hops, apples, and some faint vanilla & coconut. Medium bodied with a bit moussy mouthfeel. Very dry with a lingering moderate to firm bitterness. Interesting with subtle barrel notes.

Bottle, bought @ LIVA, Kolding.
... as Fullers Brewer’s Reserve...
Pours clear amber with a great, small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, red berries, wood, light peity smokiness and some apple notes. Fine mouthfeel with just a tad too high carbonation. Flavour is sweet at first, then smoke and wood mix well with English toffee. Super long aftertaste with dry woody notes. The red berries still show up. Lovely - and with a year on it, the carbonation may have settled.

[500 ml bottle] Nice golden color. The flavor is mild and well balanced with malt, and a smooth and frouth sweet aftertaste, but with a hint of bitterness.

Bottle at The Warf, Aalborg. Small rocky off-white head with fair lacing. Clear yellow/orange body. Aroma of caramel, grain, straw and cereal, flowers, perfume, cask wood and smoke, fruit and whisky. Nice. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation and bitter finish. Moderate sweet and light bitter.

Cask@EBF 2008. Golden brown, low beige head. Sour-acidic fruits, some malts, oak and spices in the aroma. Soft, acidulous malt flavor. Notes of citrus and wood. Low bitterness. Mid-bodied. Fruity finish. Nice brew.

Cask, EBF, Copenhagen. Fluffy head. Mild vanilla aroma from the cask, not any strong whisky caracter. Very mild and smooth. A lot of fuss about this, but more because it is hard to find than because it’s a great beer.

Cask, 7.0% at EBF08. Vinous aroma, citric funky flavour. Someone infected this with brett.

Cask @ EBF 2008. Orange brown color. Oak, orange peels and ginger in the aroma. Malty flavor with orange peels, marmalade, oak and ginger. Alcohol is hidden by the malty sweetness. Amazing complexity. Liked it very much.

UPDATED: MAR 26, 2009 From cask. Citric to mild malty flavour and aroma. Lingering chocolate and towards mild fruity base flavour with a mild bitterness showing through. Smooth and and brettish base flavour. Mild acidic and fruity note to the finish. Slight salty finish (nah - that was the pretzels I had..). ANyhow, was a bit off with the brett aroma I assume - but quite nice and not more of than many other served casks or bottled beers.
