Bottle #8627. Poured amber red, thin bubbly head. Berries and lambic like sourness and yeast in aroma. Flavor has whiskey, berries and wood. Long finish of burnt wood and whiskey. Slightly sweet also. Medium body. Round, bubbly mouthfeel. Alcohol hidden. Weird but enjoyable

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Palme (1437) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 22, 2012
Sampled from 0.5l bottle @ Ølfestival København 2012. This one is a clear copper brown beer with a small sidesticking off-white head. Nice aroma that’s quite sweet with dates, caramel and dried fruits. There is also a nice woody and almost vanilla-like thing in here. Great flavor also. It’s also here sweet with raisin, honey, caramel and clear vanilla. Leaving a long lasting dry tongue. I really liked this one. 10.05.2012
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ogivlado (4444) - Zagreb, CROATIA - MAY 21, 2012
Bottled 500ml. -from Pivoljub, Ljubljana. Shared with Marko and Heavy. Bottle No. 02822. Nice amber coloured with big off-white head. Very very sour whiskey nose. The taste is much better but also quite sour whiskey with notes of hops and caramel. Alcohol well hidden, hint of smoke in the finish. Good but expected better.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 flemmingwillum (737) - Copenhagen S, DENMARK - MAY 16, 2012
Rating #732, bottle shared with Jakob @ Hatten Bar. Appearance is nothing special; first of all half of the beer ended on the floor dur to the carbonation, and I didn’t see the beer being shaked at any point. Head is rather quickly dissapearing, but the beer is a bit hazy and deep amber coloured. Aroma was a bit whiskyish, but mainly the smoke was obvious. In the flavour the whiskey had added more of a sour taste to the beer than anything else, but there was also some smoke, caramel and yeast. Not special flavor in anyway, but a above average and rather tasty. Palate was just perfectly soft and round, but because of what appears to be a carbonation that is just crazy, I an only give the palate 4. Not bad, but really dissapointed for being the Fuller flagship, having aged for 500 days and an apparently quite pricey beer.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Marko (3128) - Split, CROATIA - MAY 8, 2012
Another day, another fancy Fuller’s. Poured a misty amber-orange-ochre body with an off white medium sized thick head that went away slowly. Sourish whiskey attack in the nose, sourish whiskey attack in the taste, ending soft. Oak, no real alcohol presence, kinda spicy. Starts unimpressive yet gets better and better (though never extremely good).
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Miksu (4024) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - MAY 3, 2012
0.5 l bottle from Alko. A gusher. Hazy amber color. Sweet and sour berryish aroma with spicy phenols, wet horse, strawberry and some tarry whisky. Taste is more whiskyish with peat, tar, iodine, nuts, phenols and strawberry. Smooth palate. There’s a wild yeast character but it does not ruin the beer.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 kingstoni (220) - FINLAND - MAY 1, 2012
Bottle. Hazy amber color with a thick frothy head. Aroma is citrus, caramel, grass and sugary malt. Sugary taste is grass and ginger. Dry and a little bitter finish. Oily texture.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 LoFi (989) - SWEDEN - APR 30, 2012
Bottle # 16636.
Amber, beige fizzy head, explodes out of the bottle when the cork is popped.
Aroma: sour, infected, buttery, underneath that fruity and earthy.
Taste: lighter infection, sour, toffee maltiness, no whisky, but the alcohol is apparent.
Full-bodied, high carbonation.
Too bad about this one.
