The fourth incarnation of Brewer’s Reserve spent a year in the Fuller’s cellar in rare Comte de Lauvia Armagnac casks from the Bas region of France. The beer is infused with brandy characteristics, with distinctive notes of vanilla, green apple and cinnamon, a solid malt base and velvety alcohol warmth.

Bottle. Amber, average and fully diminishing head. Moderate malty and sweetish aroma, some caramel, some dark fruitiness - vinous notes, light vanilla/oak, cognac/armagnac notes of alcohol. Body is medium, malty and sweetish, some caramel, some dark fruitiness - vinous notes, light vanilla and alcohol. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, faint caramel, and dark fruitiness, light vanilla and armagnac notes of alcohol. Armagnac barrel is very (and bit too much) noticeable in the aroma/flavor. Not too sweet though - not too much alcohol in the finish.
