COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The fourth incarnation of Brewer’s Reserve spent a year in the Fuller’s cellar in rare Comte de Lauvia Armagnac casks from the Bas region of France. The beer is infused with brandy characteristics, with distinctive notes of vanilla, green apple and cinnamon, a solid malt base and velvety alcohol warmth.

After my poor year old Fullers Vitage 2011 this was great. The initial flavour was uncooked bread, and oranges. The beer poured an amber colour with a caramel, quick clearing head. The taste was spirits, warm alcohol, oranges and was malty rich, The beer was nice and will be a re buy each year now. Fullers are costing me too much!

Skinnyviking (8660) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 31, 2012
Bottle. High creamy long lasting off-white head. Beautiful deep dark amber body. Sweet and mild apple pear wood caramel aroma with a hint of alcohol as well. Surprisingly bitter flavor with heavy notes of armanac and alcohol combined with caramel and vanilla. Extremely high amount of carbonation and a long bitter finish. A bit too agressive on the alcohol level. Some storage would undoubtedly do this beer good.

Bottle. Pours a nice copper color with a beige head. Aroma is quite vinous because of the Armagnac, with lots of red grape, oak and vanilla notes, toffee, fudge, dark fruits, caramel, sweet malt, marmalade and fruit cake notes. The flavor follows the nose with a really nice Armagnac flavor, again lots of vinous red grape notes, dry oaky noes, vanilla, sweet malt, marmalade, fruit cake, toffee and caramel, fudge, dark fruits and almost balsamic vinegar. The body is medium with a dry mouth feel, and a little too much carbonation for its own good. Overall a pretty interesting brew in the Fullers Brewers Reserve Series.
