COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The fourth incarnation of Brewer’s Reserve spent a year in the Fuller’s cellar in rare Comte de Lauvia Armagnac casks from the Bas region of France. The beer is infused with brandy characteristics, with distinctive notes of vanilla, green apple and cinnamon, a solid malt base and velvety alcohol warmth.

Bottle. Pours a nice copper color with a beige head. Aroma is quite vinous because of the Armagnac, with lots of red grape, oak and vanilla notes, toffee, fudge, dark fruits, caramel, sweet malt, marmalade and fruit cake notes. The flavor follows the nose with a really nice Armagnac flavor, again lots of vinous red grape notes, dry oaky noes, vanilla, sweet malt, marmalade, fruit cake, toffee and caramel, fudge, dark fruits and almost balsamic vinegar. The body is medium with a dry mouth feel, and a little too much carbonation for its own good. Overall a pretty interesting brew in the Fullers Brewers Reserve Series.

Dark golden with a small off-white head. Fruity aroma with some dried fruit notes, vineous alcohol, and fine malt. Sweetish malty flavour with vineous alcohol and oak notes. Feels a bit too young and raw, but with great potential.

Bottle, bought @ LIVA, Kolding.
Pours deep coppery amber with a big, staying, creamy, white head. Aroma has lots of oak, caramel, grassy hops, light pepper and blackberry. A slight bit of fruity funk. High carbonation, good creamy and dry mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, caramel, light toasted. Sherry-like oakiness. Lingering dryness. Raisins and some peach-like notes. Balances its sweetness very well.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Pours hazy copper with a beige head that settles to a thin rim. The aroma is sour, like a flemmish rouge. It’s not pleasant! The beer is much more pleasant to drink. Smooth, malty, sweet, nuts and hoppyt bitterness blend nicely. There’s some of that sourness too, but less emphasized and not unpleasant this time. Nose and looks pull down the average on this beer - it’s not something I’ll buy again.
