Bottle at the Hung Drawn and Quartered, London, 20th October 2012 on The Thames Tipple, now well into London and running out of pubs fast, we were also in company of Ang A bit pricey at £7.75 a bottle however its a decent sized bottle so good for sharing and to be fair its a damn good beer. Loads of dark sugars, nice warmth from the alcohol, some sweet orange flavours and whilst I am not really knowledgeable about Armagnac I could tell that it’s influence could be felt. Thoroughly enjoyable beer, and proof that Fullers can really knock out some good stuff when they put their mind to it, however I actually don’t mind Fullers, I know they have their critics but I don’t mind them at all. Sanslöst stor doft, sött, fatigt och en massa torkad frukt. Aprikoser å russin. Fyllde munnen på ett kladdigt och storartat sätt! Fan vad jag önskar att jag hade köpt en till av den här!!

This has a shot of sleek brandy nuances over the totally great alefruits and superb malting - not as forceful as Armagnac’s big cousin, Cognac and it suits well. Winey AND beery all at once, wow I have a full-on beer boner.

Bottle at a camping in the Czech Republic. Clear sunset pour, thick foamy off-white head. Aroma of apricot, peach, pineapple, some alcohol and slightly spicy. Flavor is very fruity, slightly bitter, slightly sweet and with a hint of sourness. Well balanced and with a thick body.

Had with Chad to celebrate the end of the semester. Pours an amber orange medium carbonation with one finger of creamy off white head. Aroma is sweet malt cherries and oranges. Very nice. Flavor follows with hints of vanilla and some alcohol. Medium bodied. Nice beer. Picked up in Canterbury.

Bottle no. 18804. A beautiful beer, dark red and slightly brown, a head is quite big and beige. The nose is rich of nuanceess and tastefull. Riped fruits, lots of perry, sweet apples, nice fructose, vanilla, also some berries and wood. Very fruitfull aroma. Taste start with lots of fruits, perry, plums, hint of alcohol and sherry that is only strenghtening the fruitness. Then dryer, some barrel. Medium+ bodied, powerfull and slow to drink, still quite fresh. Very interesting, it’s rare to find the beer that is so strong and fruitfull, at least the aroma is pure fruitcake. Tasts is not so fashinating than aroma but still very close to it. The great beer.
