Draft at Pizzeria Paradiso. Poured a clear medium orange color. The head was off white with good retention and lacing. The aroma was subdued overall with delicate hints of toffee and raisin. Light to medium bodied and delicately sweet with soft carbonation and minimal bitterness. The flavor, as with the aroma, was malt dominated with understated toffee, caramel, brown sugar, and distinct raisin.

Draught at Pizzeria Paradiso. Pale yellow, solid white head. Aroma is bitter and malty. Tastes like a weak pils, not much character or complexity. Disappointing.

On tap rather than cask. Certainly not from the bottle. Why do all these English beers have separate cask and bottle ratings? Pours a clear orange/light amber with no head. Strawberry, fruity aroma with light spicy hops. Taste is super light, has some fruity strawberry old hops, some forest pines, black pepper, doughy malt. Spritzy on the palate. Watery body. Dry finish. Completely void of cloying maltiness, which is a redeeming value.

bluevegie (3058) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAR 15, 2010
Clear amber body with no head. Malt aroma along with some cardboard notes. Taste is straightforward and simple, hints of caramel and dried fruit, what I expect from a standard bitter and nothing more.

Archibaldo de la Cruz (1122) - FINLAND - MAR 14, 2010
Dark golden colour with a medium-sized white head. Floral hoppy aroma. The flavour is also floral hoppy with notes of toffeeish malt and bitterness. Light-bodied and a bit too thin, but quite nice refreshing bitter.

esox (1095) - Oulu, FINLAND - JAN 27, 2010
Clear amber colour, thin and sparse white head. The aroma has slighty fruity (lemon) and honeyish/floral hops. Some nuttiness in the finsih. The raste has light, dry maltiness with a hint of caramel. Watery finish is slightly bitter and dryish. It really hasnīt got much taste. The palate is thin and somewhat watery, low but smoothly carbonated and slick.

500 ml bottle. Finland. Clear amber colour with small off-white head. Sweet fruity aroma. Some tea-like notes and caramel. Same goes with the flavour. Some caramel sweetness but mostly fruits and bitterness. Rather good balance. A bit light.
