Draught at the Monkís Table- Medium deep transparent amber with a frothy cap. Nose of caramel and light fruit, a bit of toffee. Simple yet pleasing. Tastes of sweet caramel and grassy hops, very English.....a bit fruity as well, slightly bready, some treacle. Thin finish but full on flavour and good balance of sweet and bitter. Iíll rock this moí foí anytime.

Draught at The Abbot on the Hill. Golden amber with a small snow-white head. Aroma is fruity (esp. peach) and mildly floral. Crisp body. Great malt/hop balance in the flavour, and more flavour than you might expect from a fairly low alcohol beer. Decent and very sessionable.

Draught. At Sin & Redemption, Toronto. Clear gold pour, average white head. Buttery, grainy aroma, slightly floral. Taste - same, nice floral bitterness, light, crisp, refreshing. Light body, nice mouthfeel, quitck finish - just what I like in a run-of the mill bitter, maybe a tad better.

UPDATED: NOV 5, 2010 [2132-20090508] Tap. Bread yeast aroma hints at body odour sweat. Clear, brown orange body with a quick creamy white head. Nice full bittery hops flavour has grassy bread and green plant hops and bit of a sweet aftertaste. Medium body has great bitterness. Very drinkable, repeatable and good. (6/3/7/3/14) 3.3

[3159B-20100725] Ceramic bottle. Mild herbal notes in the aroma. Clear, brown amber body with no head. Spicy grain malt flavour has lingering herbal notes. Medium body. Really interesting brew. Odd that you have to demand it but since theyíre the only almshouse still serving ale in all of England, I guess they can make you stick with tradition. (6/2/6/3/13) 3.0

500ml bottle (Nousuvesi, Kivenlahti)
Mid orange. Simple caramalt body, slightly resiny hop finish. A very poor counterpart to its cask equivalent, but that might be in the context of bigger beers that Iíd had earlier in the day. Kiuas rocked though.
