COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular.
NOTE: Most Fuller’s draught beer in the US is served from keg, not cask so US ratings for draught Chiswick should generally be placed under the bottle/keg listing.

Ingredients: Pale malt; Northdown and Challenger hops. Dry hopped with Goldings.
GBBF Champion Beer 1989.
Slight change of recipe in 1999.
Chiswick Bitter is Fuller’s popular session strength ale, which derives its name from the area of London where Fuller’s is based. This lower strength beer is held in high regard across the South East of England and, like its stablemates London Pride and ESB, has won the prestigious CAMRA Great British Beer Festival, Beer of the Year award, in 1989. In fact, Fuller’s is the only brewery in England whose top three brands have won this award: a fitting testament to the skill and dedication of the Fuller’s brewers!

Had on draught, London Fleet St whilst waiting for my girlfriend to finish work. A decent bitter to pass the time, but nothing more than that. Generic British bitter.

Cask at In de Wildeman. Clear light amber colour, no head. Aroma is light hoppy, floral, light malty. Flavour is light sweet, soft caramel, light grainy, sweet floral touch, nice light citrus hoppy bitter finish that lingers a bit. Light bodied, oily mouthfeel. Really easy drinking stuff.

Cask at Ye Grapes W1. Copper coloured bitter. As with all Fullers beers, this one is quite sensitive to freshness and quality of pub infrastructure. Very complex with fruity malt and delicate hopping, lovely interplay between the two. Another Fullers beer that on its day is a real pleasure to drink.

Cask at The Bishops Arms (Savoy) Malmo. Clear dark golden brown pour with a thin broken white head. Malty, slightly floral aroma. The flavour is bitter and malt. A typical English bitter and at just 3.5% you will probably go home sober even after a session :-)
