JK54B (385), Finland Oct 6, 2008 Cask 0.25L at Black Door RALE. Thin head, large bubbles. Pale golden brown colour. Mild grapefruity taste. Crispy hoppiness. Average maltiness. Fresh and fruity. Long lasting hoptaste. HogTownHarry (3286), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Oct 3, 2008 Cask. At The Princes Head, Richmond. Deep amber pour, clear, average head. What’s there to say, really? - floral with a slight rye tang to the malt, slightly sour tasting and a bit "green" somehow. Average everything - frankly it’s a bitter, it’s the usual thing, it quenched my thirst but the Fullers ESBs I had after my obligatory "haven’t rated it, have to have it" was a lot better. mjs (582), Helsinki, Finland Sep 14, 2008 (At Black Door, Helsinki, on 2008-09-14) Amber. Clear. Medium sized lightly tan head with lace like edges. Malts and yeast in nose. Quite light and dry palate with little carbonation. Malts, bitterness, hops and yeast in taste. I suppose the cask has gone past its prime time. KimJohansen (4299), Copenhagen V, Denmark Aug 4, 2008 Clear amber with medium beige head. Sweet aroma with fruity and caramel notes. Sweet flavor wit mild hops and caramel. Ends bitter. bobinlondon (220), Harrow, Greater London, England Jul 6, 2008 Handpulled cask at Wheatsheaf, Ealing. I’ve not enjoyed Fullers much of late, but this little gem proved to me that they can still brew a good drop of ale. A lovely amber session bitter with a good lasting white head. Buiscuity malt with a very fresh dose of challenger hops. Why arn’t Fullers other beers still as good as this?
