Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
Ingredients: Pale malt; Northdown and Challenger hops. Dry hopped with Goldings.
GBBF Champion Beer 1989.
Slight change of recipe in 1999.
Chiswick Bitter is Fuller’s popular session strength ale, which derives its name from the area of London where Fuller’s is based. This lower strength beer is held in high regard across the South East of England and, like its stablemates London Pride and ESB, has won the prestigious CAMRA Great British Beer Festival, Beer of the Year award, in 1989. In fact, Fuller’s is the only brewery in England whose top three brands have won this award: a fitting testament to the skill and dedication of the Fuller’s brewers!

Cask at Mad Bishop and Bear. Amber body with slight head. Nose of caramel, malts. Medium caramel flavour, watery with hops. Some fruits too. Fair enough.

@ Beer Hunter’s, Pori. Clear amber, tiny fading pale head. Lemony, balanced nose with sweetish caramel malts, lemongrass hops. Flavor is slightly dishwashing soapy hops, drying caramel finish, a tad coarse mild bitterness, hint of earth, mostly lemony soapiness. Light bodied, slightly coarse and hollow palate. Lovely subtle aroma.

Cask. Amber beer with an off-white head. Grainy, playdough aroma. Grainy, light lemon flavor. Lighter bodied. Grain and light woodsiness lingers.

Tap at Faulte, Tokyo. Copper with a thin white head. Malty, lightly toasted, and fruity aroma. Flavor has some malts and plenty of fruit. very understated hop bitterness. Refreshing but sort of dull. Still, a nice session beer.
