Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
This delicious, premium blonde ale from Fuller’s is the perfect combination of unbeatable flavour and refreshment.
Brewed using a unique blend of malted barley and wheat for a delicious malty taste bursting with rich, biscuity flavours, Liberty hops are then added for a distinctive zesty character and fruity bite, whilst Saaz hops add a gentle bitter taste for a clean, refreshing finish.
In cask, Discovery is 3.9% ABV, while in bottles the strength is 4.5% ABV.
Discovery tastes great served chilled, and its light, refreshing character makes it a perfect accompaniment to many foods.

Cask, Doric Arch. Geez this was so average. Golden colour, no head. Thin, sweet, malty, a chore to finish. Pish really, masquerading as something more.

Handpulled cask at Castle, Harrow. Pale gold with white head. Refreshing clean tasting summer style bitter. No great attributes or characture. Very average.

[Cask at the Corn Stores, Reading] Despite the supposedly different hops, this is clearly a Fullers beer - tastes a bit like Chiswick (Dusty straw, earthy tones) with much of the flavour boiled out and a big dash of lemon added. In short, it tastes like they’ve tried to create a golden ale by amending one of their existing bitters rather than by setting out to create a new beer. It’s not bad, but there’s nothing special here. Especially disappointing considering the usually great brewery it’s come from.

Cask at The Artillery Arms, London. Hazy golden with a fast disappearing head. Typical Fullers flowery and fruity hop nose. Good bitterness, earthy and fruity flavours. Some caramel. A good session beer.
