detroitsteel (209), Greater London, England Aug 20, 2007 Pint in a Fullers pub near Liverpool St. Can’t remember the name. Nice, full flavour quite suprisingly citrusy. Lots of malt and rasted grains. Very short finish, but this could be due to the beer being served too cold.
begbie100 (129), Oulu, Finland Oct 6, 2008 Beautiful amber color, small white head. Low acids, smooth palate. Aroma is weak, some malts.. plums. First reaction on flavor: Way less bitter than bottled. Flavors of fruits and soap, some malts. I prefer bottled. skortila (2439), Bunnik, Netherlands Sep 5, 2008 Cask @ Jan Primus. Aroma has malts some citric hoppiness. Amber-orange coloured ber with an off-white, creamy head. Good lookin. Taste is a bit soapy, has caramel malts, some hops. Light bodied. Slightly sweet, slightly bitter. changeup45 (581), Orlando, Florida, USA Aug 9, 2008 Hand pulled at The Frosty Mug. Maybe my palate has changed but this isn’t as great as I remembered. Nice creamy head and lacing. More malty than hoppy, caramel, a bit bready with light bitterness but a bit thin. KimJohansen (4299), Copenhagen V, Denmark Aug 4, 2008 Clear amber with tiny white head. Sweet fruity aroma with mild hoppy notes. Sweet fruity flavor with caramel and hoppy notes. Bitter finish. fullers (4), Toronto, Canada does not count Jul 13, 2008 Darker in color - coppery amber - and fuller in taste than London Pride. London water. Thin head, aroma not forceful. Again, a very drinkable beer, quickly downed.
The Dove is a classic London pub on a stretch of the Thames used for the Oxford/Cambridge boat race. On the day I’m there, lot’s of sculling activity on the river. My inevitable choice for tasting Fuller’s beers once again
