Cask-conditioned at the Mad Bishop & Bear, Paddington Station 9/3/2011. Deep gold with a decent white head. Biscuit malts, some doughy sweetness without going over the top, and a lingering bitter finish. Fine.

Cask handpump at The Queens Head, Farnham, Saturday 10th March 2012 Pours dark gold/light amber with a white head, good clarity. This is fruity with a reasonably decent hoppy snap at middling bitterness that lingers, not bad at all. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Cask at the Mawson Arms at the brewery. Amber with a loose white head; a rather ordinary bitter with a slightly fruity malty aroma; a thin body with a biscuity taste; and a grassy hop finish.

Cask at Salutation, London. Pours clear, golden-brown with a fine, foam head. Doughy malts and caramel candy in the nose. Light sweet flavor, dry leaves, some toasty dough. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dry to finish, more light dough and leafy bitterness. Very basic, but not bad.

Cask at Coach and Horses, Billericay. Pours a deep orange amber with golden edges and a loose white snowy dusting of a head. A little malt and zesty orange in the aroma is quite hard to find. Quite thin on the palate, this beer has a light malty lemon taste and a light brown sugary dry aftertaste, but that’s it. In no way offensive, in fact very pleasant and easy to drink but I just wanted a bit more punch or bite, actually just the sort of things you would expect from a front row in rugby but it doesn’t deliver either. Very sessionable if you’re watching the Six Nations and I guess that’s the point.

Cask. Pours a medium gold, with a thin white head. Malty aroma, quite hoppy, citrus, floral, yeast, faint caramel. Dry, light to medium bodied, medium bitterness, low CO2. Malty, hoppy taste, caramel, yeast, citrus, slightly earthy. Easy drinking, straightforward. (2012-02-16)

Cask @ The State Bar. Amber brown colour, reasonable head. Mild malty aroma. Fruity malt flavour. A light refreshing bitter.

Cask. A thin bitter. Light amber color with no head. The nose is light sweet, grains and hints of caramel on the nose. The taste is mildly bitter but pretty watery and unchallenging. The palate is light and thin. Overall, I generally look forward to Fullers seasonal releases. But this wasn’t good.

(Cask at Royal Oak, Borough, London, 23 Nov 2011) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of orange, apricots and dusty hops. Malty, fruity taste with orange, biscuity malt and dusty hops in the finish. Light body, with balanced sweetness. Drinkable, but hardly exciting.

[4045-20111028] Cask. Spinach flower aroma has a weird caramel malt hint. Slightly hazy, amber orange body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Bitter leafy malt flavour is mildly sour. Medium body. Average. (6/3/6/3/13+) 3.1-
