Keg & Bottle: Filtered
Frontier is hand-crafted over 42 days combining the best of old world malts and 168 years of brewing knowledge with new world brewing techniques and hops. The blend of powerful new world hops and the distinctive Fuller’s yeast that is brewed at a higher temperature allows a deeper and more robust flavour to flood out. The brew is then carefully lagered for five weeks to fully condition the beer and give it the full and interesting flavour that differentiates it from its peers. Allowing the flavour to develop over time, Frontier is unpasteurised yet filtered to deliver the clarity our consumers have asked for. These factors combined deliver the unique taste of Frontier.
The result is a memorable beer with citrus and spicy notes, a light fizzy body and a clean refreshing taste.

330ml bottle picked up at Meny Oslo City. Bright golden body. Initially large white head slowly reduced to a remaining layer. Minimal lacing. Mild aromas of herbal hops with hints of lemon. Fresh fruity hops to the flavour character with subdued malty sweetness beneath. Smooth mid-dry bitter endnotes. Soft carbonated. Easy drinking, thirst quenching summer beer, (cabin, riverboat Serenade 1 cruising upstream on the Rhine, 24.07.2014).

average frothy white head. fair lacing. mostly diminishing. sparkling thin dark yellow body. aroma: light hoppy, light yeasty, honey, metal. if: moderate sweet light acidic. ff: moderate sweet light acidic bitter; average duration. palate: light medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, light astringent finish. Dulçor frutado, ligeiramente ácido, saboroso. Típica golden/blond ale, com a ligeira acidez sendo a curva fora da reta mas não chegando a ser um defeito. Qualidade média, mas ainda assim abaixo da média fuller’s. 40 s

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2014 Bottle, thanks Starfire. Pours a clear orangey yellow with a good, clean white head that disappears quickly. Aroma is very light, clean, lightly fruity. Taste is light caramel, light apple, clean, but not much there. Refreshing, light. Inoffensive, but why would I drink this instead of water really?

1st bottle in my random lager night and I really enjoyed it. 330ml into a Veltins badged stemmed tulip on my patio after working in the garden all day. Reminded me of Andechs Vollbier Hell in looks and smell, a bit more citrusy in taste though. Refreshing, clean and thirst quenching with that citrus bite to give it a better overall depth and character. One of the best lagers I have had for a while. Hope the next two on the planned tasting are as good.
