Goldings hops and Golden Promise malt.
At 8.5% ABV, Golden Pride guarantees a superb range of flavours, that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning of palates. Our brewers describe Golden Pride thus: í deep amber in appearance, Golden Pride is full bodied, of moderate bitterness, moderately hopped and rich in malt. Full flavoured, and reminiscent of sweet orange oil, toasted grains, and bread. Rich malty aromas lead to a similarly styled palate, with an intense finish. Sweet and bitter flavours are expressed in good balance in this weighty brew.í Or as the late Michael Jackson, beer writer and connoisseur, put it: íthe Cognac of beersí.

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2014 Op het eerste gezicht veel koolzuur. Weinig geur. Nootjes geur. Lichte alcohol branding in buik. Nootjes smaak. Alcohol brand niet in de mond maar wel in je buik. Niet lekker. Niks bijzonders. Helaas kan ik niet meer noteren als deze rating. Dit komt doordat ik dit biertje te slecht vond om er meer over te kunnen noteren.

Bottle. Pours amber with a offwhite head. Aroma is peasoup hops. Flavor has peasoup hops and bitter malts. Mouthfeel is nice and smooth being the single good thing about this ale. After warming the sweetness is over the top with raisins, making the score a bit lower.

0.33l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. This is a dark amber-red colored beer with a small islandy and sidesticking head. Nice aroma, some sugary canned fruit mix, a little bit of butter, some oxidation also. It had a nice oily mouthfeel witch a small prickling carbonation level. It has some oxidation in the taste also, even if the bottle is not that old itís still noticeable. Some red fruity sweet thing here, a dark malty flavor that I really like. Itís really integrated and hard to tear apart. A fine one! 08.06.2013
