COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pasteurised bottle. Also available in keg for export only. The very occasional cask version is only available in the UK and has a separate listing.
Goldings hops and Golden Promise malt.
At 8.5% ABV, Golden Pride guarantees a superb range of flavours, that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning of palates. Our brewers describe Golden Pride thus: í deep amber in appearance, Golden Pride is full bodied, of moderate bitterness, moderately hopped and rich in malt. Full flavoured, and reminiscent of sweet orange oil, toasted grains, and bread. Rich malty aromas lead to a similarly styled palate, with an intense finish. Sweet and bitter flavours are expressed in good balance in this weighty brew.í Or as the late Michael Jackson, beer writer and connoisseur, put it: íthe Cognac of beersí.

Bottle poured into tulip glass. Pours a beautiful amber colour, with a white-cream head, some lacing. Aroma is sweet biscuits, and the inside of a sauna (not the sweat!). Tastes roasty, toasty, slightly spicy. Mouthfeel is very full, alcoholic burn towards the end. Not for me, but itís a nice beer.

Strong and balanced. I could taste some bread. The carbonation is soft and the finish is abrupt and dry.

Bronze coloured ale with small head. Caramel malts, some bitter cherry and some toffee sweetness. Caramel, toffee, some ripe fruits and mainly sweet flavors. Some bitterness at the end. Rich texture and enjoyable Strong Ale.

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a clear dark amber colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is rich caramel and roasted malt. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a super liqourice nutty caramel palate. Super smooth and very tasty.

Sweet malty, caramel, raisins, nice fruitiness. Decent but not too noticeable hops. Bittersweet finish. Bit alcoholic, but not very pushy. Very nice brew

Pours a dark amber with a thin white head. Sweet toffee aroma. Medium body. Mild fine, foamy carbonation. The booze is a touch heavy, and itís too sweet for me, but itís also pretty damn tasty. Nuts, toffee, cake, mild citrus, rich, malt loaf, well balanced... Decent.

Bottle. Poor foam. Clean amber colour. Sweet caramel, herbal, some spiciness and bit of diacetyl in aroma. Sweet malty toasty body, with interference spicy flavour. Moderate bitterness and sweetness in aftertaste. Poor carbonation. That bottle wasnít quite, what I expected. :(
