COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pasteurised bottle. Also available in keg for export only. The very occasional cask version is only available in the UK and has a separate listing.
Goldings hops and Golden Promise malt.
At 8.5% ABV, Golden Pride guarantees a superb range of flavours, that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning of palates. Our brewers describe Golden Pride thus: í deep amber in appearance, Golden Pride is full bodied, of moderate bitterness, moderately hopped and rich in malt. Full flavoured, and reminiscent of sweet orange oil, toasted grains, and bread. Rich malty aromas lead to a similarly styled palate, with an intense finish. Sweet and bitter flavours are expressed in good balance in this weighty brew.í Or as the late Michael Jackson, beer writer and connoisseur, put it: íthe Cognac of beersí.

Bottle. Pours Golden Amber with a Cream head. Sweet boozy malt on the nose. A bit of a dried fruity booziness with a decent supporting cast of hops. Nice bitterness to finish. Good stuff.

Yum! Fruity raisin aroma, liquid gold a triumph from Fullers, tastes of steeped fruits, prunes, hoppy and rich , full bodied, great for an autumn day or by a roaring log fire at Christmas time, not easy to find so if you see it buy it.

Bottle. Biscuity, light toasted malts blended with a red fruit cocktail. Soft and smooth mouthfeel accompanying a sweetness that is countered by a soft bitterness. Some anise in the far background. Excellently balanced sipper.

The looks are super pin bright deep mahogany dark red, gentle carbonation, creamy thin head. Aroma is sweetish boozy port-like with some toffee. Taste is sweet caramel boozyness, very soft and round. A tad too sweet for my personal taste. A proper Christmas ale in front of a fire place while reading some anorak-themed book. Lovely.
