COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pasteurised bottle. Also available in keg for export only. The very occasional cask version is only available in the UK and has a separate listing.
Goldings hops and Golden Promise malt.
At 8.5% ABV, Golden Pride guarantees a superb range of flavours, that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning of palates. Our brewers describe Golden Pride thus: ’ deep amber in appearance, Golden Pride is full bodied, of moderate bitterness, moderately hopped and rich in malt. Full flavoured, and reminiscent of sweet orange oil, toasted grains, and bread. Rich malty aromas lead to a similarly styled palate, with an intense finish. Sweet and bitter flavours are expressed in good balance in this weighty brew.’ Or as the late Michael Jackson, beer writer and connoisseur, put it: ’the Cognac of beers’.

Aroma-honey,coffee,slightly sweet maybe nuts Appearance-Copper, thin off white head Taste-sweet but also just a little bit bitter. Tates strong in the same sort of way a sweet sherry would (what I mean is like a sweet drink bit with a little kick to it. Overall- I like this, could not drink a lot of it and for me one 500ml bottle would be my only beer for the night.

Surprisingly good beer. Wasn’t expecting it to be so good as it is mass produced but it was. Strongly bitter but well balanced, complex flavor and pleasant alcohol flavor. Good beer.

Pours amber dark with a lasting foamy head. Fruity, Caramel aroma. Flavor is full bodied, toffee, caramel, noticeable alcahol and medium bitterness and some roast. Oily texture, soft carbonation and bitter finish. Very tastefully and decent.

Doftar Fullers!

Bottle @ home. Poured dark amber/caramel colour with an off-white head. Strong malty caramel overtones in the flavour. Not overly hoppy. Underlying hint of brandy in the taste. Possibly the alcohol was a little too obvious - nonetheless a satisfying experience

This beer is strong, but borring. The flavor and aroma is filled with roasted malt and hops, which makes it bitter.

Biscuity and very English tasting. Not as complex as you might hope but still a very nice malty fruity hoppy strong beer.

UPDATED: FEB 3, 2011 Pored from a 500ml bottle, very sweet on the nose of caramel honey over ripe dark fruit and fruit cake Off white head with ruby body medium to full mouthfeel, with a medium carbonation. fullers havde done a great job of masking the taste of alcohol, un sessionable due to its richness.
