3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured an oaky amber red with a good white head. Flavoursome bitter, a little sour the aftertaste. Alcoholic in finish. Quite floral but dominated by bitterness. Excellent taste. All round good beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a medium brown/caramel colour with some head. Aroma is sweet and hints of caramel. Body is sweeter but well balanced. Aftertaste is hoppy, floral and somewhat dry but the taste lingers for a while. In general a very drinkable strong ale.

500ml brown bottle. Poured a clear ruby amber with gold frothy head. Rich spice roast raisins aroma.Spicy fruit flavour, lovely malt hop alcohol balance. Full bodied oily mouthfeel. Long finish.
Tastes like a de-tuned Vintage Ale.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very malty, fruity, slightly nutty and citrusy aroma with hint of strawberries. Sweet fruity flavor is slightly nutty and it finishes citrusy-dry and moderately bitter. Medium body and warming palate.

very very nice, a barley wine i think isn't it? when it warms, the complexities of the flavor balance against the alcohol hit. nice look too, easier to find in the skinny bottles. worth a try, worth to be a regular

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
A deep amber coloured beer with a thin, beige head. There are caramel, alcohol and honey in the aroma. The taste is sweet and malty with notes of orange and bread. The texture is oily, the finish is long and bitter-sweet. Itís a good one! It will be one of my favourite beers!

Marvellous, quite splendid! Full and tasty barley wine. Soft and sweet with a hint of bitterness. Much less harsh than a young Fullers Vintage. This is a very special British beer. Ay, most glorious!
