COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pasteurised bottle. Also available in keg for export only. The very occasional cask version is only available in the UK and has a separate listing.
Goldings hops and Golden Promise malt.
At 8.5% ABV, Golden Pride guarantees a superb range of flavours, that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning of palates. Our brewers describe Golden Pride thus: ’ deep amber in appearance, Golden Pride is full bodied, of moderate bitterness, moderately hopped and rich in malt. Full flavoured, and reminiscent of sweet orange oil, toasted grains, and bread. Rich malty aromas lead to a similarly styled palate, with an intense finish. Sweet and bitter flavours are expressed in good balance in this weighty brew.’ Or as the late Michael Jackson, beer writer and connoisseur, put it: ’the Cognac of beers’.

medium amber with a thin but lasting head. smell is a bit of alcohol, a lot of grain. i taste a full base grain maltiness, medium caramel taste but dry, nice fruity hops ranging from orange to melon. feels carefully put together and complex. thick and slick body. would definitely get it again

Finom. Milyen lehet frissen csapról? Hmmm...

Bottle,IBS, Perth amazingly rich treacle, toffee and malt in the nose, Poured a slightly hazy coppery red, palate is dominated by flavour hops, which detracted form the thick sweetness a little, dare I say I would have preferred this if it had a little less hops..

50 cl. bottle. Served in stemmed ale glass. Reddish amber color. Malty, nicely vinous, and pleasantly full and complex. The alcohol is well hidden. Nicely balanced. Smooth, soothing, and warming finish.

Exactly like a Cognac but a beer. Amber in color, good carbonation, very malty but dry, almost no presence of hops, but balanced. Some orange. bread. Loved the balance of this beer.

Lovely hoppy aroma, sweetness there too. Strenght of this brew is apparent in the taste but the malt backs the old man alcohol down and the bitter end high fives you like a champ. Almost too easy to drink and woo then you are drunk. But who is complaining, this is good stuff.

Pours copper with light beige fluffy long lasting head. Aroma is malty, caramell, bread, roasted sugar with spicy herbal hops in background. Thick body with lots of toffee with a lingering bitter finish.
