COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pasteurised bottle. Also available in keg for export only. The very occasional cask version is only available in the UK and has a separate listing.
Goldings hops and Golden Promise malt.
At 8.5% ABV, Golden Pride guarantees a superb range of flavours, that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning of palates. Our brewers describe Golden Pride thus: ’ deep amber in appearance, Golden Pride is full bodied, of moderate bitterness, moderately hopped and rich in malt. Full flavoured, and reminiscent of sweet orange oil, toasted grains, and bread. Rich malty aromas lead to a similarly styled palate, with an intense finish. Sweet and bitter flavours are expressed in good balance in this weighty brew.’ Or as the late Michael Jackson, beer writer and connoisseur, put it: ’the Cognac of beers’.

Finom. Milyen lehet frissen csapról? Hmmm...

Clear golden with a off-white head. The nose have a lot of sweet caramel and butterscotch, but there are also some dried fruit, orange and mixed undefined hops. The rich mouth goes along the same line, just more of it. A nice medium bitter ending. Altogether a very good strong ale at a comfortable price. I’ll have more of this one alright...

Copper colour with a whitish head. Good aromas of malt and dried fruit. The taste is very rich and complex - toasted malts, dried fruit, figs and marmalade all combine to give a really satisfying flavour. Very good mouth feel. This is a really lovely, subtle well-made beer. Another good one from Fuller’s, and great for Christmas drinking.

On tap at Birreria Accademia. First aroma was of wet socks. Two finger off-white head with clear golden ruby color. Strong alcohol taste and darker malt tones coupled with faint citrus tastes. Overly carbonated, an average beer but I’d rather drink something else at a bar.

0,33l bottle from British Store, Budapest. Clear, dark amber color with non-durable, white head. Honey and alcohol aroma with fruits and herbs. Intensive malty aroma with honey. Sweetness, much alcohol, barley, spices and herbs, a little resin. Heavy sweet taste. Medium body with creamy texture and average carbonation. Grainy, sweet finish with a light herbal flavour. This beer is like a barley wine. Intensive alcohol and grain feeling.

Strong and balanced. I could taste some bread. The carbonation is soft and the finish is abrupt and dry.

medium amber with a thin but lasting head. smell is a bit of alcohol, a lot of grain. i taste a full base grain maltiness, medium caramel taste but dry, nice fruity hops ranging from orange to melon. feels carefully put together and complex. thick and slick body. would definitely get it again

Exactly like a Cognac but a beer. Amber in color, good carbonation, very malty but dry, almost no presence of hops, but balanced. Some orange. bread. Loved the balance of this beer.
