[Cask at Charlie’s Bar] A red-brown beer with a small dense light brown head. The aroma is malty with hints of tobacco. The flavor is sweet with roasted malt being most dominant, leading to a dry end.

Cask, Duke of Kent: Pours brown with a lovely red hue. Mild malt aroma, quite nutty. Flavour is similar, just nutty caramel/choc malts, but very clean. Medium bodied smooth mouthfeel. In great condition, and not a bad drop either!

Cask. Chocolaty aroma. Very dark brown colour, red hue. Flavour is very roasted and malty, but a bit watery. Quite bitter aftertaste. Body is a bit thin, as can be expected from a mild. OK session beer.

Rating #1200. Cask conditioned at the George and Devonshire, Chiswick. A very refreshing, fairly sweet mild with a load of chocolate malt flavour. Ultimately a refreshing spring day beer and a superior mild.

Handpulled at Old Joint Stock, Birmingham. Over ten years since this was in the UK? I’m not surprised. Thin to the point of watery, washy fruit seeps at the end but it’s a thin old thing.

Hand pulled at the Old Joint Stock, Birmingham. Red brown, with a creamy, but short beige head. Thin bodied. Chestnut and slight tartish flavour. Spring water quality, ungradiated. This is really a bit plain.

Cask@The Mawson Arms, Chiswick, London. A really pleasant mild. Typical smooth Fullers mouthfeel. Lightly sweet to start, quite nutty, with subtle hints of caramel, and a touch roasty. Quite a light, but rounded mouthfeel. Nothing overly complex or anything, a solid pint.
